Then let's arrest all the big pharma companies! There's your drug trafficers! Yep. Legal drugs are killing people right and left. Legal drug pushers are in and out of Doctor's offices every day passing out free samples of some new drug. |

suspect: high powered RIFLES(plural) and bullet proof VESTS (plural) suspect: 8 seconds between identifying themself as police and the confrontation itself possible: a smart person in the drug trade would choose EXACTLY a lower paying job and live very modestly to COVER for illegal activity as opposed to the dummies who dont work but drive expensive cars and run up expensive bills suspect: a swat team (highly trained shooters?) riddling a man with 23 bullets,,,, possible good search warrant or bad search warrant definitely excessive force,,,,, at least he wasnt killed 'reaching' for a gun as many others are every year,,,, What does the number of guns and body armor have to do with anything? That is not a reason for anything by the police. when they are plural for ONE person its suspect, especially ASSAULT Weapons, as opposed to hunting or sporting ,,, |

Since most of our Military are off fighting foreign wars and we are selling assault weapons to Mexico-- maybe we all need to be buying assault weapons to protect ourselves from the invasion force coming at us up from South America.
And we need to plug the arms deals and drug smuggling going from Florida to Columbia. |

Only thirty percent of the multitude of shots fire heat the target indicating fear and poor training. Throwing the words assault rifle around only muddies the water. Assault rifle were invented in Germany during WW11 and outlawed here twenty years earlier with the Sherman machine gun act. Where there any laws, rules concurring when deadly force can be used

More guns, less crime (as long as the government doesn't have them). ![]() I'm not sure that more guns in a society that is falling apart will mean less crime. But it will be like a mini arms race. People will need guns to protect themselves from looters and riot police and also the military that has been given the power to arrest and detain anyone they want without a warrant. People with guns aren't going to like that. ![]() |

Guns don't kill people... People kill people!
So many try to cast the blame in the wrong direction! Ron Paul is right! If drugs were legal we wouldn't have the profits or people who cause these problems! Before you take your soap box on the harm legalizing drugs would cause, think about the harm and cost of criminalizing them! The tax dollars spent on making or children criminals, the cost of prisons and maintaining them, the bribery of judges to convict and fill the private prisons, the lobbyists whose corporations profit most from these laws, the drug cartels and CIA who would lose their cash cows, the reason for the violence in Mexico and elsewhere, the damage foreign "growers" do to our national forests, the gangs who grow daily corrupting our kids and communities. Just because drugs are legal isn't going to change ANYTHING but the corruption and violence linked to them! Would you do heroine tomorrow just because they legalized it?..... I doubt it! Take away the glamor, the risk, the thrill, the profits and you rid yourself of the corruption and violence. Turn off the TV and start thinking with the human part of your brain and these types of occurances, the police corruption, gun problems, home invasions, burglaries and a slew of other problems cease to exist! Spend the wasted tax dollars on something that will actually make a difference! Like education! |

Like education! corruption and violence surrounding alcohol prohibition seems to have diminished quite a bit once it was no longer illegal illegality of something causes people to do more desperate things to get it and hide it,, which fosters criminal behavior we can say about anything that PEOPLE have to utilize it for it to be dangerous, but that doesnt mean that those things dont still benefit from some regulation so, of course, guns kill people,,when used by other people to do so cars dont have accidents, but people driving cars do,, so we regulate the conditions and circumstances by which people should operate a car we should have similar caution in how we handle the conditions and circumstances by which people should be permitted to have(use) a gun. |

There are laws in place for that already. Again, it's up to the person to have moral values, not the gun, or the car, or the drug. The gov't wants to control every aspect of our lives, but they don't even begin to have the power or resources to do so, so they try to fix it with more government. When they do so, we lose more and more freedom and liberties of choice. We are living the outcome of their folly in their belief of that logic. Too many chefs will always spoil the broth! |
