....to psychotherapy? No. I have a therapist that I see once a week. I benefit a lot from it. He helps me think outside the box and to understand myself better. Its good being able to talk to someone who is never judgemental. I did it for couple years in my twenties and I came back now that I felt I needed it. well hello where have u been good to see u Hello Sweetest Good to see you too I ve been hiding and lurking my favorite things to do! I've been goen awhile and am now just back myself, not sure for how long this time - each time I come back I stay for less and less time.... |

I think it would depend on the person . My daughter had the school whatever they are called, ( im not even trying to spell that word) talk to here ans he called me in as he wanted to talk to me.. And his advice was that i needed to act more mature, that I couldnt be both my childrens friend and Mother He told my daughter that she was angry with me and needed to let it go.. we still laugh about it as no matter how much we tried to talk to him, he was so set in his idea that he couldnt see past anything. So if someone can listen with an open mind and actually help ..Great, but if they are judgemental and see things that arnt there then they are a danger. if someone told my child that without first obtaining my permission, I would pursue an avenue of complaint and forbid that person from speaking with my children unless my children requested the interaction as you have described it, it sounds totally inappropriate I had a school official complain because my son, when he was 9 was reading during math class .....long story short.....this same child now has a degree in mathematics and is pursuing doctoral research in physics......and his younger brother was sent to a different (catholic) school... |

not opposed, I think I could have benefited from some quality counseling over the years...might have saved me some heartache...who knows...I tried a few times but either I gave up too soon or I expected too much..wasn't a good fit...ikd..but I did spend alot of time inside my own head coming up with conclusion which seemed reasonable at the time but looking back...it might have been good to have a trusted neutral source help me work thru it to see the truth....or check my thinking on the matter.

I'm undergoing psychotherapy now. It's not the first time. It's interesting actually. I think it could be valuable to everybody in a way. You don't even have to have deep problems to benefit from it. Of course....it's people with deep problems that gravitate to it and benefit the most. I think just the term "psychotherapy" scares people away from it. I find the process fascinating....... Yeh, the term "psychotherapy..." Let's see...it must mean.... therapy for psycho's. Yep that's what scares me away. |

I am a multiple personality but we all know each other quite well. We are not a split personality. We are simply aware of each other.
I call them my psyche's. One is the leader, and then we have a council. We are many. |
