It's finally out on DVD, came out last Friday! It is worth getting, it's an AWESOME movie! One of my favorite comic book movies yet(other then the Iron Man series and Thor).

The Bluray version is amazing also! I bought both versions regular and Bluray!

Ryan Reynolds is awesome in this role and I love how accurate it is to the story lines. I also read if enough people buy it on DVD and the DVD sales are good they will definately do the sequil which they set up for at the end of the first one.

Also if you like this movie please goto the People's Choice Awards Website and vote for it, pretty please.

I am a Green Lantern fan, but this movie disappointed me. Ryan Reynolds is great as Hal Jordan. And Blake Lively is just a hottie. But the film just had too many plot holes and the story is too thin. I realize that it is a comic book film, but seeing as how these films have become good (story wise) over the past few years, I had high expectations for it. The effects looked good though. I hear that they are still planning a sequeal to it, so I hope that part two is much better.

I gotta say I was a bit disappointed after seeing this flick in the theaters cuz I had high expectations for it. On paper and thru some of the trailers, it had everything going for it: good director, decent enough actor to play GL, Lively as eye-candy, Saarsgard as one of the main villians and perhaps a true origin story.

However, it was a bit of a bust, in my opinion. The only thing that I really praise about the film are the scenes in space. I wanted more of that! And to also see GL meet more of the fellow Green Lantern Corp.

Ryan Reynolds came off like a whiny dude. I still don't understand why WB cast him as Hal/GL. I find it to be a bit of a conflict of interest having him play GL knowing he's supposed to reprise his role as DEADPOOL at some point. Lively was eye-candy and NOTHING MORE. Most of the constructs that Hal/GL uses were a bit lame. Seriously, a hot-wheels race track to save that helicopter from crashing? Weak!

The only saving grace for this flick was SINESTRO. He came off like a bad-a*%! Glad to see them tease him for what could be in the sequel. I'm actually surprised WB is going forward with it, despite the lower than expected income it got. I assume they're hoping dvd/Blu-Ray sales will make back some of the $. I'm sure it looks great on Blu-Ray, so I'll eventually get it just to add to my comic-film collection.

RATING 6.25/10

I didn't notice any plot holes, I thought it was just perfect and I think the next one with Sinestro as the main villian will be awesome.

I also just watched the preview on the Green Lantern DVD for the new Green Lantern cartoon starting next month on the Cartoon Network, OMG it looks so awesome!
