I want to trottle something!!!! I just found out my elementary age Grandson went to the school nurse telling her he was struggleing to breath and needed her to help him with his Asthma medication. Which has been processed into the schools custody and so everyone; especially a nurse, should know how to handle. Well She handed it to him and walked away. We are talking about a serious rescue medication that needs to be administed by an adult; which is at home. Not really sure how he wings it and gets a couple of puffs and waits to be helped because he is still coughing. The Nurse comes back and demands to know why he is there and he says because he is STILL having trouble breathing. Not even close to the requirted waiting time she tells him to use the inhaler again. He does and with in minutes is having accute chest pain and starts crying wanting his Mommy won't let her near him. At some point someone finally calls her and hearing him wheezeing and crying in the background she oders them to call an ambulance and heads for the school where she goes with him to the hospital. Thankfully being treated by the paramedics for overdose he is doing ok now but still very upset. the whole family is upset. GRRRRRRRRR! Good thing I am on the opposite coast! But I don't know wheather to punch something or cry feeling so helpless.
