Topic: Another poll obama is losing in... | |
---|---|
President Obama's poll numbers have taken a hit in recent months amid voter discontent over how his administration has handled the dismal economy. But for the first time, a new poll finds that a majority of Americans are beginning to actually blame Obama for the nation's economic problems.
According to Gallup, 53 percent of those surveyed say Obama bears some of the blame for the struggling economy—the highest number recorded on the question since he took office in 2009. Twenty-nine percent of those polled say Obama bears "some blame" while 24 percent say Obama deserves "a great deal of blame." Yet more Americans still put most of the responsibility on former President George W. Bush for the nation's current economic predicament. According to Gallup, 69 percent of those polled say Bush bears the blame. (Obama and Bush weren't matched head to head.) Heading into 2012, Obama has repeatedly argued that he inherited the struggling economy, pointing the finger back at Bush's policies. But the Gallup poll finds Americans less and less willing to get him the benefit of the doubt--doubtless a worrying sign for the strategists spearheading the president's re-election efforts. Among the most skeptical: self-described independent voters, who are sure to be a critical constituency in next year's presidential election. Sixty percent of independent voters say Obama bears the blame for the dismal economy—a 32 point increase since Gallup first posed the question in July 2009. |

When will we learn about 'polls'? there must be hundreds DAILY
great way for us to choose those that support our own opinions. Heres another from: http://blog.cagle.com/2011/09/majority-still-blame-bush-and-republicans-for-economy/ 86 percent of those surveyed for an Associated Press-GfK poll say the economy is in “poor” condition, up from 80 percent in June. And, according to 49 percent of those surveyed, things have gotten worse in the past month. But what’s most striking about the poll is who the American public chooses to blame when the question comes up. Today’s Koch Bros.-bought-and-paid-for Republican party has done everything in its power to cast Obama as some kind of freewheeling Socialist hell-bent on creating sprawling government bureaucracies. Despite the fact that Republicans have done everything to ensure the economy falters under Obama’s watch and then blame him for the dire consequences, Americans place their blame elsewhere. Fifty-one percent say George W. Bush deserves “almost all,” or “a lot but not all” of the blame, while 31 percent said the same of Obama. Similarly, 44 percent of those polled said that “almost all” or “a lot but not all” of the blame should be put on the shoulders of Congressional Republicans, while 36 percent responded that way about Congressional Democrats. What’s confounding, or should I say smash-you-in-the-head maddening, is how Republicans flagrantly ignore polls like these (maybe because they contain facts and facts are for terrorists) and continue to gleefully steer the country down the unpaved path of destruction for political gain. Their mantra appears to be to get into government to destroy government, or creating big government entitlements for the rich on the backs of the poor and middle class. |

Congress really is still to blame ultimately. The fact is Obama inflamed the situation and I would bet money he is holding back on pulling something luike lifting the prohibition on Marijuana at the last minuet to buy him votes. Oddly he has been back and forth on that issue with no clear guidlines as to how HIS administration will handle drug enfocement in states where Marijuana has been semi- legalized. Likewise Obama has lent support to the same people the Bush administration did inflamig our problems IE. TARP!
Obama clearly has not had the balls to put Congress on the line. Let us keep the facts straight here, Obama dug his own hole with Promises he never intended to keep and keeping all the same players who caused this mess to remain in his administration. Obama just sucks, worst president ever and worst than Jimmy Carter was. |

Out of almost twenty five years of voting not one pollster ever called my home. But these facts do remain something must be done with our present Representatives that are in the upper house of Congress and Senate. Until there replaced this country will continue to fail in it's recovery.
