I have a 3/8 inch variable speed reversing drill. I like to tell people that. It sounds like I know what the heck I am talking about.

I grew up learning to use all kinds of tools. Dad was a roofer and taught me to do a roof, including the flashing on the chimney, mix concrete in a box by hand and lay block and brick.. Brother taught me to frame a house.. When my kids were young and we lived in the country I split many a log with axe or sledgehammer and maul..had the strongest arms around..As I got older I learned to use all kinds of power tools..never hurts to learn how to use tools..lol

My latest fascination on the fix up shows is corkboard. You can unroll or tile with it. I saw this fascinating show where it was in like big puzzle pieces. I haven't been this fascinated since working with Lego pieces. I always wanted to build a real house with Lego pieces.


Haven't tried corkboard yet, but did try the paintable dry erase stuff, and love it! Easy as pie, and has held up really well!
