Topic: Do men in their 40's really want... | |
---|---|
I hope this is a better answer for you Chrissy.
I am a man at the age of 41 who has no intention of dating women in their 20's. EVER. Yea, I get the fact that its an ego boost to have a hot young girl pay attention to you. But buy her a kewpie doll, kiss her on the forehead, and say good bye. Only a woman within 5 years of my age range will do. There is so much that a woman has to offer me besides stroking my ego that I really need. |

Dammit, it's not my age that's the problem. It's my height.

women in their 20's? The majority of men who contact me are either much older or much younger. When I happen to contact a gentleman my age, I've been told they like younger. Color me confused? What's the appeal? I couldn't find my butt with both hands in my 20's. No offense intended. Can anyone enlighten me? For a long time I wouldn't date a woman that was too much younger than myself. But, for some reason, women my age didn't seem to want me to talk to them. I'd say hi and start a conversation, but they'd just snub me. At the same time, women half my age were coming on to me left and right. So, I started dating the younger ones. Now, I'll never go back. |

Age does not have to enter the equation. If one thinks that age
is an obstacle then it becomes an obstacle but life has proven many times over that age needs not be an obstacle at all. This is really something that's going to be different for different people. For some, it has been shown that age does not matter. For others, it does matter. It's all about preference. That's my point. Age itself does not matter. Do guys in their 40s go for women in their 20s? Sure they do. Well, it does matter. Otherwise, everyone would be going for people of all ages. Everyone IS going for people of all ages! Guys in their 40's go for women in their 20s, guys in their 20's go for women in their 40's, women in their 40's go for men in their 20's and women in their 20's go for men in their 40's! It is not whether or not it happens. Happens all the time. The real question is if there is a preference - do men in their 40's generally prefer women in their 20's and I'm not sure that is at all true. Many men in their 40's are already married to someone close to their own age. According to one source 79% of women marry and 71% of men. I am going to assume for the sake of argument that almos all of them before the age of 40... Although about half of them ultimately get divorced, many of those will not remarry for some considerable period of time. So probably at any one time, nearly 70% of men in their 40's are off-the-market. That means it does not matter what they prefer. They're out. Now for the rest of them...I guess that they look at everybody available. But if they want kids then they may well look for a partner with good fertility which generally means 20's to early 30's. Just like the men, 70% or so of the women are already married or recently divorced and not looking. So - from my point of view - it is not that men in their 40's necessarily prefer 20-something women or that that they are in any way excluding women their own age as partners but there is a diminishing number of partner candidates for a variety of reasons. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db19.htm |

Not every woman in her 40s is going to go for men of all ages. Some will go for men in in their 40s. Some will go for men in their 30s or 50s. Every woman/man will not go for men/women of all ages. It's all about preference. Each person will have a different preference. |

I talk to who ever I think looks interesting and allow her to decide. In other words, I choose a woman that chooses me. |

OK here are the reasons (and they are not necessarily the same reasons why I have dated younger men - men & women are different) he fell in love with a woman who was younger and he is looking to repeat that happiness. he gets along well with younger women and all the older gals he knows are couch taters... older men and younger women are often sexually compatible - where older men may find women their age wanting sex too often as we peak much later sexually- as for why I like the younger men I have dated...they were nice to me- enjoyed me....wanted me....and I like that....imagine that.....I was permitted a bit of happiness - heaven forbid |

Most women in their 40's already know what they want, how they want it and how to get it. 2.Because then they will be at the same maturity level as their dates? |

One of the things I have had happen tome in dating from here,,,
many women will say they have not been with a man for like from ayear to five years?,,and then you meet them,,thinking and knowing that as their truths,,,then you just notice and feel,,them,,kind of odd,,in their actions and ways,,,,and then,,you have sex with them,,and that to is not,,that of a PERSON,,who hadn't had sex for a long time,,at all..Then,,you discover they have a friend or some friends who are male,,who come and see them or take them out,,,but the lady will say,,oh,,there just friends and nothing else,,,BUT,,,you can't help but wonder why their actions and sexualilty was that of someone,,who was having sex on a regular basis... YES,,i'm sure every women and man acts differently in their actions as to feel that or see that in someone,, BUT,,I later found out ,,they were sleeping together and so,, THEY had a FWB,,,now THATS not a big deal at ALL,,except,,for THAT mis-lead discussion saying they were w/o that part of life(sex),,so as a man who DIDN'T have a FWB,,,and KNOWS that REAL MISS,,of having that, One feels,,,cheated,,,as to HER, NOT be felt as that real release of longing she should have inside,,like I had inside... Sorry,,I just felt that I needed to say that,,,lol.. My last relationship was cheating on me with a younger dude,,it happens and I know ,,much of THAT was because her ex was many years younger than she was,,,and I was many years older than her,,,so in her thoughts of missing THAT,,she was easy turned to a man younger than me...because she missed,,that youthful look and age closeness.. What I amgetting at,,or saying here is,,,MANY LADIES NOW,,,do see younger dudes as their prospects,,,for they can last allnight and morning,,lol, and because most can be told how to do or what to do,,in a kind of teaching means to make her happy,,where as many dudes,,are not open to ask who are older dudes..at least THATS what those women THINK anyway,,for what they have witnessed in most men.. ok,,,backof my soap box,,,,,,, and in my corner,,,, |

I address this to women because the majority of complaints in this area are registered by women. While I will not date someone under 50 the men who do, usually quote the following: 1. Older women don't have the stamina of someone younger, though they claim they do. 2. While older women have wisdom that young women do not, some of the experiences of life have left bitterness: especially towards men and we feel it. 3. Older women have long laundry lists of what perspective dates must or must not be. Some of these are unrealistic. 4. Some older women try to play the "chase me" game that teens and 20 something women play. Older men will no longer put up with "hard to get". 5. A first date, sometimes, seems like a job interview or performance review. 6. While older women say they are open to new things (not talking about sex) they are, in fact, usually set in their ways just like men are. 7. Some men are only after sex. We know this, and it seems like every word we say has to be chosen very carefully because many women will always take it the wrong way. It seems like they have the "SEX" filter on. We tire of being accuse of only wanting sex. 8. Some women feel their ex-husband/last boyfriend cheated on them. They want to tell him off but he won't listen. Unfortunately it, sometimes, is vented on the next guy who wants to see them. 9. As women age some cease trying to take care of themself physically. The two complains of men who chase younger women are: ----a. Excessive weight ----b. Men like longer hair on women. The older women become the shorter they cut their hair. A few weeks ago I was shocked when a 33 year old started to flirt. Eventually I said it would seem odd to see someone my daughters age. She responded, "I've seem men in their 50's before". "Not interested". I am approached twice a month by women in their 30's. I never respond thinking they only want money. This same 33 year old emphatically responded, "not true at all". My search preferences are 53 to 64. But I will say, if older women are fishing for a man get some bate that will compete with the fish that are out their. Stop making excuses and belittling men. I couldn't find my butt with both hands in my 20's
This is a slap in the face at 20 year old women. this is so very generic to men and women I won't argue with your point one bit. Men and women are both guilty of this. However, women seem to deny in a much louder level. Maybe us women have more guts to come out and say what is on our minds rather than dancing around the issue. |

IMHO, the most obvious reason that may or may not have been touched on is that men who date women considerably younger find that women 20+ years their junior just want to please and they do as they are told. They (the women) may be feisty, in better shape (maybe) etc but in the end, defer to their older partner. That kind of gratification is hard to resist and the guy quickly becomes a slave to the adoration.
He won't get the same admiration from women who are of the same or similar age. He has to 'work' a little harder but them again, so does the woman - very few women go through mid lifers. |

lol yes Chrissy men in their 40's want women in their 20's plain and simple. This is because they are having a midlife thing going on, plus when they were 20 they couldn't get hot girls their age, now that they are older and have more money they can. Don't worry these men will come back around because young girls are only good for toys. Young guys want the older women because most of the young girls want the older guys with more money lol and because older women make us young guys feel like arm candy and who wouldn't love that? Just go with the flo and date young guys for a while until your older and the older guys can't get the young girls anymore lol
