DEVELOPING: Several people have been shot at an IHOP restaurant in Carson City, Nev., KTVN-TV reported Tuesday.

The Nevada Appeal said at least eight people were shot by a suspect carrying a semi-automatic weapon just before 9:00 a.m. local time.

The Nevada Appeal reports that at least eight people were shot by a suspect carrying a semi-automatic weapon just before 9:00 a.m. local time.

Sheriff Kenny Furlong told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the suspect fired at restaurant customers before shooting himself. He said the shooter is not expected to survive, according to the newspaper.

Local and state police and FBI agents have descended on the scene on South Carson Street, also called U.S. 395, the main street in the state capital. Yellow tape surrounded the parking lot near a Kohl's department store in a shopping complex across the street from a casino and hotel.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office reports that the IHOP is clear and the building is secure.

Some streets have been shut down because of the shooting.

Two of the three dead were just announced to be military, this is not good.

No it's a tougher call for immigration control. No one convicted of ANY crime(Jay walking, shoplifting, disorderly conduct, battery etc.) or any mental unstability so not be allowed to get a visa or citizenship.

Also the National Guard should be deployed ALL over the border with UAV's and shoot on sight orders for ANYONE crossing illegally. One warning to his the ground and any non-compliance it a bullet between the eyes. Mines should be layed out all across the border. Also orders for any vehicle breaking the border lines to be hit with an RPG, by tank, or live fire from a UAV(Predator) or manned fighters.

They should also have Air Craft in the air with Ground Penetrating Radar looking for tunnels and when found hit with bunker buster bombs.

Then give the Coast Guard and Navy orders to shoot and sink on sight orders for anyone trying to force their way into this country on the water. Anyone attempting to enter in a Drug Sub, the Sub should be fired on by torpedos and sank.

Any survivors or people who hit the cround when ordered should face no less then 15 years of hard time in a special prison in the desert breaking rocks 12-15 hours a day.

Also anyone caught in this country or trying to enter illegally would never have the right to ever become a citizen.

Actually what I see is that we should tighten our standards for entry into this country both for visitors and likewise immigrants. Try visiting New Zealand with a criminal record even if you have a passport and visa. They can and will revoke it the moment they do a background check on anyone. Same for Switzerland.
