One reoccurring dream of mine has been about a military invasion on all residents who show any sign of existence. In that dream I am hosting a silent party with no lights and sound. We're having fun, yet I'm terrified that the military will see or hear us. Therefore, I'm constantly asking the guests to be quiet and turning off lights. shocked

Is anybody interested in talking about dreams? I find them fascinating. My first dream documentation goes back to 1987. I have it all scribbled down in a book. Sometimes I go over them and notice a theme that repeats itself in different scenarios.

According to Jung we dream every night, even if we don't remember some or all of our dreams. What is the last dream that you recall?

The last dream I remember was too embarassing to jot down, it was a fantastical dream and not a good one at all. More of a nightmare.

I like the dreams where you dream you are flying like Superman...

I used to dream that I could levitate and fly above the trees...haven't done that in a while.. However, I did fly out over a gorge while in Co on vacation.. Called a sky coaster..put you in a harness, lift you 100ft in the air and then you free fall and fly out over the gorge...bigsmile

Mssilverfox, that sounds so wonderful. Im so jealous of people who remember their dreams. I only remember them if Im feverish. poo.

There was a period of time when I was using medicinal marijuana consistently and I never remembered ANYTHING on pot. Now that I don't anymore I remember 80% more. Also, like you, sometimes on strong medication or when I'm very sick with the flue etc. I tend to have disturbing dreams that I recall. So medication really does effect the recalling process for sure.

Makes Sense I have been on pain meds for sciatica. 70% of dreams AKA nightmares are very different.

As of late I'm having vivid, intense dreams...the moment one eye is open, it's gone. Nada, can't remember anything.

I had a dream that I was at a big hotel and I was wearing a big pink bunny suit, so I decided to hop around the lobby and Robin Givens from the Howard Stern show was trying to coax me out from behind a palm tree, asking me if I took my medication. Now I knew this was a dream and I even knew I was not a bunny in the dream. But I was having so much fun, watching people deal with the bunny, that I hopped and hopped and pretended to be a bunny until I woke up. This is something I may have to try in real life.

the last dream I remember was about me and ben affleck hanging out,,,dreams tend to be something I have gained some 'directorial' control over in my adulthood...

I kept a dream journal for quite a few years. I was in a dream group when I lived in Dallas. This group was based on the so-called "Senoi system of dream control," which turned out to be a sham but wasn't known as such at the time. I had recurring dreams of the atom bomb going off, and they were getting worse to the point where I myself was setting off the bomb. The group taught us how to understand and control our dreams, and I stopped having the bomb dreams. One thing this group stressed was that YOU are the one who decides what your dreams mean. If I dreamed of a snake, some meaning out of a book might have nothing to do with it.

I came out of that group believing that everybody dreams every night and that you can remember your dreams if you focus on it enough. You need to write them down the moment you wake up, or you'll forget them within 5 minutes. When I was doing this regularly, I'd even wake up in the middle of the night after an especially vivid dream, and write down notes on it right then. I had some fascinating dreams. There were all kinds of people in them, people I knew, historical characters, everybody. I did have lucid dreams too. The leader of the dream group said that flying dreams are the precursors to lucid dreams. It was a lot of fun and I learned some things about myself.

I've been having a lot of those, too. For a couple of months now. I sometimes remember them for just a little bit as I wake up.

I've been keeping paper/pen bedside for years. Sometimes even a recorder I would talk into...
I know I'm dreaming and for the life of me just can't even push the record button before it's gone...poof.

Yea, I've been at it for several months now, and the no sleep thing to.
I'm either dreaming like crazy or just not sleeping.

I've been having the no sleep thing now for several weeks. Or I wake up every hour.

I have lots of dreams about flying and flooding cities. Here is what the interpetations are:

To dream that you are in a flood represents your need to release some sexual desires. If the flood is raging, then it represents emotional issues and tensions. Your repressed emotions are overwhelming you. Consider where the flood is for clues as to where in your waking life is causing you stress and tension. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are overwhelming others with your demands and strong opinion. Still another interpretation could be your desire to wipe everything clean and make a fresh new start. To see a gentle flood in your dream indicates that your worries over a certain matter will soon be swept away.

To dream that you are flying signifies a sense of freedom where you had initially felt restricted and limited.

I havn't had the dream in a long time....but I used to have a regular dream in which.....as I walked I would spring higher and higher with each step. To the point I got soo high I would wake in a sweat.
Not afraid of heights ......so I have never understood it!!!

I'm wondering where you got that interpretation?

If you can get yourself a chunk of black tourmaline, it helps me a lot. You can find some good size pieces on Ebay.

I have this recurring dream that I'm being chased by a big vicious poodle, not sure why I keep having it.
