Here I am, all alone, no others around to smile to,
No others around to dance with in the late night breeze,
No one to tell my problems to, no one to keep me company.

Days go on and on, and, still no one passes by,
Except for a single car now and then,
They do not stop to smell the fresh open air,
Or to notice the beauty of nature that surrounds them.

It’s so hot during the day and so very cold at night,
No one to comfort me, or to hold me tight.
Will anyone ever notice, this one lonely flower
Alone in the desert during my lonely hour?

I’ll go on, for tomorrow is another day,
The sun will shine, no matter what I say.
Maybe someone will stop and notice, this one lonely flower,
Alone in the desert during my lonely hour.
