Is it truly a drop dead date for America to default, or is it just fear mongering by this administration?
Anybody remember when the drop dead date was May 15th? It would be nice if the 2 parties would stop political posturing and fix this problem. Who is really not compromising? The republicans passed CCB in the house and the senate refuses to bring it to the floor for debate. Two other proposals have come from the republicans and the senate is telling them it won't pass and the president said he will veto them. So IMO I would say the democrats are the ones not willing to compromise. |

I concur
The dems are foot dragging... The Budget was due last Fall, but the Dems were too busy forcing ObamaCare down our throats. Now Obama wants to withhold SS Payments to the elderly... Even the most stupid liberal wouldn't threaten such a thing. Seems the biggest problem is Obama's attitude about America and its obligations... to US Citizens... not despots in the middle east. |

y2k was a drop dead date too. besides, less than a year until 2012 when the mayans say the world is doomed. if you've been given only months to live would you really give a crap about what your credit score is when they put you in the ground to feed the worms?
