i have been talking to alot of people about this trying to find the common thread.

all of our milk now comes with warning labels.thanks to the people not the fda

The recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH), a genetically engineered hormone manufactured by Monsanto.

after our gov spent $$$ saying milk does a body good, got milk? ads

the fda is not on our side.

http://www.ejnet.org/bgh/nogood.html

now lets talk about MSG

http://www.msreversed.com/MSG.html

http://www.sterlinghart.com/MSG.pdf

the gov now lets them use 30+ different names for it.now of course thats not to confuse you.or is it?

it is hidden in everything from raw ground turkey in every store to baby food(WTF)yes even babyfood.not only does it screw up your pancreas and messes up your insulin.its an excitotoxin and makes you dumber by killing your brain cells like alcohol.and it in all of your food and your kids foods.

people say they think its why everybodys sick and getting diabetes.
they say you can almost cure type 2 by eating vegetables straight for a month.thats because theres no MSG in them.when you stop consuming this MSG you get better.

so i try to tell people that its in ALL the food in every store no matter where you go.wal*mart, adli, sams club, costco and they get mad at me.

the lady at GNC said people just make bad choices.WAKE UP! you dont have a choice its in everything including your dog food.

this guy at the pet store wrote a 2 page pamphlet about how bad the animal food was getting at the pet stores.so i told him i knew what he was talking about and i said there doing the same thing with our food.he said i was crazy!

Nice teeth. Lol. I believe what you're saying here, actually. As unreal as it seems, i too, believe that "things" are being put in our food. A dr will tell you to eat fruit and veg (as always), yet even them are probably laced with crap. A good way to kill off a population just to save money. Gee. They can't take the blame, so instead the patient gets blamed. I tried a diet, and well, that had me in severe pain, and really bad stomach cramps. So that made me lose trust in healthy food. It's such a farce. Btw my grandad has diabetes. So the headline of this topic grabbed my attention.

I already know about all this. If I was rich, I'd be eating all organic products. Organic is expensive and because of that .. I personally don't have a choice. Though I eat organic whenever I can.

Organic foods actually help with my allergies. Just by eating Romaine Lettuce by Wild Harvest at least once a day ...has improved my allergies. I'm less itchy and less likely to break out.

If I wasn't such a food junkie, I would have ditched processed foods a long time ago but I find that very hard to do. I have however managed to stop eating fast food. McDonalds was my worst enemy. It's crazy how the additives in their food makes you go through withdrawl if you stop eating it. And I'll never go back.

I have not heard about this being a problem in pet food. What brand names of pet food?

We do still have a choice but those choices are either hard to find or more expensive.

I have not heard about this being a problem in pet food. What brand names of pet food?

We do still have a choice but those choices are either hard to find or more expensive.

1. There is no such thing as complete and balanced. A diet can meet the minimum health recommendations for your pet and be complete – but not balanced. Settling for merely a “complete” diet means that your pet may still be subject to malnutrition and still be within the lax AAFCO guidelines. Expect a gradual health decline that may or may not include long term and serious health problems such as cancer, diabetes and arthritis.
2. There are no long-term studies on the longevity of pets on particular diets – despite claims to the contrary by Purina. I encourage you to try and find this data or the protocol for this supposed 17-year study. I’ve been trying for years. The advertisement suggests that eating Purina Dog Chow prolongs the life of your dog. It’s all smoke and mirrors. They make no such claims about their “better” more expensive diets. Now, why is that? As a result of this kind of misleading ad campaign we have pulled Purina products from our shelves.
3. Studies on human nutrition suggest that sugar becomes a metabolic toxin when too much is consumed. According to my reading there is no government agency working towards a sugar-consumption guideline for our children, let alone our pets. A recent CNN telecast with Dr. Sanjay Gupta suggested that the average child consumes more than four pounds of sugar per week. This concerns our children – how much worse must our pets be faring?
4. If highly digestible grains are used in a pet diet, the cooked versions react the same as sugar. An average 30 lb. dog will eat, perhaps, .5 lb. of dry diet per day. In a week that is nearly 3.5 lbs of food. The average grocery brand contains 60% cooked carbohydrate and also often contains some high-fructose corn syrup. That 3.5 lbs of food contains roughly 1.5 lbs of sugar. By extending our knowledge of human nutrition to our pets, think of the pressure exerted upon the liver to produce glycogen and potential insulin resistance.
5. Some foods are being produced with no grain whatsoever. This is acceptable as long as the product does not offset the lack of grain with highly-digestible starches like cooked potato. Grain Free is a gimmick and one should tread carefully. You may be paying extra for a "feature" could ultimately prove inconsequential or even potentially detrimental.
6. My suggestion for those on a budget: buy foods high in quality protein and quality fat and restrict feeding. Track and monitor your pet’s weight. These foods contain a high-caloric content with less carbohydrate. Even though you might pay slightly more up front, you will end up feeding less and save more in the long run.
7. Less active pets don’t need foods low in protein; they need less carbohydrate and less food overall.

I will continue with these little articles to hopefully bring people to an understanding of how to best feed their own pet. Remember that:

1. The first requirement for a pet is to have enough calories, on average, per day.

2. The second requirement is receiving enough protein with a proper profile of amino acids to keep our pets healthy. Determining the proper profile is not easy. Most is trial and error, but we need to start by feeding a variety of proteins through raw and canned meats.

SUGGESTIONS FOR FEEDING:

Use no less than a 26% to 30% protein diet and use non-protein diet ingredients that are high in insoluable fiber. Your dog will eat more without the insulin spike. Use an all-meat canned food on the side to increase the quality of protein. I always suggest a high-protein diet like Evo by Natura, Wilderness by Blue, Epigen by Wysong (maybe the best), Indigo Moon and Barkin’ at the Moon by Solid Gold.

I have become very aware of the fact that all kinds of chemicals are in the foods we eat, after being diagnosed with a condition that came from my eating poorly. I am now healing and have to eat organic and whole foods. I am doing really well with the new diet.

The way I see it, food is expensive and I wish there were some laws passed to assure that food in grocery stores is healthy.

Hasn't worked for my MS in curing it. It is still the same. I wasn't drinking milk when I started having the symptoms of MS so I know that it didn't bring it on.

I do believe that the poisons in our food are bad for us and could help people to be healthier but cure any of the major diseases? No.

I have tried all of the natural stuff to help MS, the best I have found for it is fish and flax oil.

this is what causes major diseases. the pharmaceutical companys have bought the vitamin companys.

and everything contains transfats.i dont know where you shop to get food thats free of these things or any products.i find msg in everything except candy.theres so much in some products that i can barely eat them.

I was diagnosed with type 2 in February of this year and should be undiagnosed at my next doctor appt. had to stop taking one dose of the glyburide (which is already at the lowest dose possible) because I have too low sugar.

I quit all sugars false or otherwise and no stevia as it raised my blood sugar too. Almost no carbs, only pumpernickel bread one slice and dried multigrain rye bread crisps on rare occasion. I ate frozen veges and meat or turkey patty on pumpernickel. No cereal, no potatoes, no noodles, no bread other than what was listed above, no rice, etc...

The weight is melting off. My sugar is almost all the way back to normal. I walk for exercise twice a day.

So I do understand

If you don't buy the premade stuff the transfat is easy to control.

I had a problem finding peanut butter that is decent without palm oil in it since that is a saturated fat. I am currently using Smart balance peanut butter and I eat it in a spoon so no carbs.

I also noticed that tuna salad raised my sugar a bit much too so I have to add cheese or eat a piece of cheese before I eat the tuna on pumpernickel.

I wish you the best with the struggle.

i dont think smart balance peanut butter is healthy at all. i bought there smart balance butter and it burned my mouth like gasoline.i think it was loaded with MSG or other type of chemical.

what kind of stevia were you using?i was using sun crystals 50/50 stevia cane sugar.most have more maltodextrin than stevia.

salt only raises some peoples blood pressure not all.

pumpernickel is baked for 12 hours to make it brown.
the stuff in the stores uses food coloring.

So I do understand

i dont think your wrong.i think the companys are lying to us all.
thats why they use 30+ names for MSG.

i walk all over the place weight is not my problem. you want to lose fat not muscle.but i cant make everything from scratch.
i wanted wraps (like bread) they all have transfats.soft taco shells.i cant make these from scratch.if i lived on a commune this could work.even the way the houses are set up here so you cant grow your own food.our forced air furnace makes me sick every winter.hot head / cold feet.and they put fluoride and cloramine in the water now.

ketchup is concentrated tomatoes vitamin c 0.

they have taken tomato sauce from 30% c down to 10% c and now its real acidity and i cant eat it.you would think it would be less acid.

i want to eat healthy alkaline foods not acidy ones.

even my coffee is acidy now.it used to be alkaline and not bitter.

basically what im saying is that there changing all the foods to make them unhealthy.
