Topic: getting depressed about my labor...

i've been having spareatic contractions and am dialated to 3 cm. But now i'm stuck there. I am 3 weeks off from my due date, but it's becoming depressing. Active labor doesn't start till 4 cm and i could be stuck like this for up to 2 weeks. Sigh. I'm going crazy and in pain.

Maybe you should try and see a doctor or something? Try and be positive in any case......you'll get through this.

Sorry you're feeling down lizzie...babies come when they are ready.. Try walking as this really does help..good luck sweetie..

I wouldn't do that unless the dr. says to..the baby's just not quite ready...

i opted coming home from the hospital rather than sitting there miserable. Nothing i can do except walk which i'm sure i.ve done more than a marathoner thus far

I suppose you would know better than me, having gone through this before lol. lol :D I would say just try to make yourself as comfortable as possible. The way you sit, or the way you lay down, how many pillows you sleep on, etc.

Try eating cantalope! it has worked really good to bring on babys that are ready, and does not affect anything if the baby is not, Best Of Luck !

Hang in their. I know its hard but try focusing on other things besides your labor. Making sure the little ones room is ready. Rent a couple of your favorite movies and invite a few friends over to distract you for a couple of hours. Get as much rest as you can you will need it for the big day. Best of luck. :)

Me thinks Lizzie is having her baby maybe?? Lets hope she is? As I was reading this,,my daughterinlaw is also experiencing this same,,and she may pop before the Forth does??,,But she is just a waiting,,,,,

still no baby. No, my water hasn't broke either. I went back to the hospital today becaue my contractions became 3 min apart and alot harder, but i'm still only dialated at 3 cm and not progressing. So i'm back at home, still miserable.

Try to walk- put on a favorite funny movie or your favorite music, anything to entertain and soothe yourself a little bit.... It will pass... and soon your beautiful baby will be here.

literally right after posting that, my water broke. At 7:21 am katara beth was born. :) 6 pounds 3 ounces 18.5 inches long. :)
