I don't want to give too much advise.

But my parents never treated me like a person.

They would never sit down with me, and ask, how I'm doing. Or have a conversation about something nice, and positive.

If you do just this. Try and learn about your son, don't use what he says, against him. Instead, try and be his buddy. You have to be bonded, to an extent.

But, don't over talk with him. Give him some room. Everyone enjoys a little time to themselfs.

Another thing, knowing how to play with your child is a great gift. Try and join in, on the things he enjoys.

And lastly, your son will be going though lots of changes, throughout his life. Be supportive, be gentle, kind, and understanding. But make sure you are there for him, in times of need.

Last word, I promise

My family think that money is love. Love is how you are, when you are together. A loveless family, is a sad one. Make sure everyday is special. Share, happiness, laughter, love, and joy. It's good medicine, and makes a happy home ^_^
