![]() Sea of stone.... I glanced upon a sea of stone memories. Fathers, sons, wives, mothers, daughters. So many silent stories, of lives lived out loud. Names, numbers, and dates carved in stone. Stand silently in the mist of our noisy lives. A sea of stone memories witnessed by the wind. Up on your left, down on your right. Battery Attention, slowly echoes in the breeze. Remembered by love ones, children, and widows. Names, numbers, and dates carved in stone. Lives giving out of love, duty, sacrifice..... A sea of stone memories witnessed by the wind. Flowers drift upon this stone ocean. If for one moment they could all stand up, and be seen. To bare witness of their lives, duty, and service. Our soldiers never forgotten, but still heard in our hearts. I will always salute you, until I slowly drift into that sea of stone, witnessed by the wind. Poem: MHS©Copyright 2011 |

Yes indeed they will never be forgotten, for they serve with honor.

Courage never forgotten. I doubt I could write about war. I would never stop crying.
