ooo i did keep it in the family the old school way i beat the sh&t out of him last nite  and its more of a italian thing but being from jersey helped im sure

Somehow i dont think this is summit to be proud of and giving a thumbs up over. Sure, with evidence, the kid should be punished, but personally, i wouldve spoke to my sister, explained my concerns, and discussed appropriate ways of giving him consequences, and making him pay the money back through doing chores etc.

I could never physically hurt my nephew...there are better ways of dealing with it.

I remember the only time I ever used a derogatory adjective towards my mother. My father stood up and gave a left strait right to the center of my face. I was 17 at the time. I deserved it and if I recall properly the only thing he said after the punch was "No one talks to my wife like that." laugh laugh

"Beating the ****" outta someone is assault.....violence breeds violence....by being violent as an adult, towards a young person, you are as good as encouraging them to deal with their issues in the same way.

Also, how did dad manage to give him a drug test??

I agree, beating the $$ out of someone is LEGALLY assault, and administering a lethal drug to them is illegal too, unless you have the proper authority and procedure(court process) to permit it

taking peoples property is stealing and locking them in a room is kidnapping, unless they are your child in your home

different boundaries for different settings,,,

in the family, its sometimes like a court, where there is a specific agreed upon offense/consequence understood to exist

being grown and disrespecing an elder,, is grounds for a reality check,,,(in old school homes like the one I Was brought up in)

it aint for everyone, and that I understand,,,but it worked with us, and It probalby works for families like jersey

Well, what exactly do you expect?? You want questions answered AFTER you beat the **** out of him?? I hate to break it to you, but it's not gonna happen. You lost yourself a nephew with that kind of action.
I'd recommend to ask first next time, and then to TALK IT OVER, instead of jumping to conclusions and resorting to physical abuse.

So how does the paper prove it to be him?? Couldnt it have been anyone?

I also wanted to ask, what made you go into the pawn shop initially....?

I'm sorry for your delima. It stinks when family is dishonest. There was a time when my children took money from me, lied to me and disrespected me. That was when they were young and were still learning the honest way to live. They are all grown up now and very responsible and help me out whenever I need them. I had my class ring stolen by one of my sisters friends when I was in high school and all I could think of at the time was that she must have not been able to afford one. Even material things have a way of finding themselves in people's hands that might need some support or guidance....especially a cross happy .

when you pawn something in in nj the pawn shop makes a copy of your ID or drivers lic that has his picture on it and a picture of what he pawn ( my cross) .... and what made me go to the pawn shop was the kid was asking for money that sameday he was at my house at 7 am on the 24 and he pawned my cross on the 24 at 12 :30 but i didnt miss my cross till after 8 pm on the 24 so i stoped in the pawn shop on the 25th i walked in the pawn shop asked if anyone pawned in a gold cross with a green stone the guy told me ya it was pawned in on tue .......
