Let's turn the tables a bit. In referance to the fat chicks thread thought we'd swoon in on the guys a bit!! Some, (note I said some) men seem to think a few extra pounds adds character. But, let a woman be a few pounds overweight & oh, boy!!! Honey, those aren't love handles...Now, this is in jest so don't go getting your underwear in a tizzy guys!!

Actually I do date from thin to pretty chunky. I have met one though that was too big for me, I would guess he was about 450 though. He couldn't breath just walking and I knew he couldn't handle me the way I like to be handled... pitchfork

as a fat man, it's been my experience that only larger women are interested in me. probably feel they can't do any better.

the thinner women don't seem to want a guy that's got some extra tonnage. their loss.

. . .

I don't know about that. Around here, I've definitely seen tiny little women with big men.

oh, crap! maybe it's my personality that sux.

seriously though, i think different areas experience different things. the midwest has far fewer thin women than large women, so the thin ones get to pick and choose.

. . .

And the fat ones don't get to pick and choose? They just take anyone they happen to get their hands on? Damn. I should just grab onto the next guy that walks by, since we're not supposed to be picky.. whoa.

Attitude absolutely plays a big part when it comes to dating. If you're negative a lot, it will show easily.

laugh
I don't think looks are as important

to women when finding a man as they
are to men finding a woman. Just the
nature of the beast, I guess.

"cough" BS...i think i disagree...

She is MORE than right.
Male looks play such a small part,
and, if you go with the Charles Bronson
theory, the uglier the better.

I know I send more away then I ever accept and I am not skinny so skinny women do not get to be more choosey than me.

Personally, I never found men who are thin attractive. Even those that had athletic bodies had to have a lot more to offer before I noticed them.

I don't go for one specific body type. I've dated men who were on the skinner side, who were muscular, athletic, short, tall.. all kinds. I'm not really attracted to the skinny guys, but a lot depends on the person. I could be really attracted to someone's looks and they could have a horrible personality, which would cause me not to date them. So looks aren't the only thing that come into play with dating.

To me, looks actually change based on my feelings for and about the person. I can find someone very attractive initially and then grow to find them unattractive if I find their personality distasteful.

I like big men.
Can't say why, no clue.
So this tells me it may be some atavistic
recurrence of cave-man standards, where
the bigger the man is, the more he is
able to take care of cave-woman.

Me too Soufie.
I like my man to be big and safe,

slaphead They can be skinny or big dosen't matter, its the heart that matters, however there ain't no joy like a big fat butt boy, I had to say that.

I don't care unless he doesn't have his own Jazzy. If he's gonna ride around on my lap he needs to be on the smaller/skinnier side.

Nope, I wouldn't date a fat guy as I just wouldn't be attracted to him. Now if a guy is carrying a few extra pounds; then yes I would date him; thats if I were still dating.

Just getting back on. Out of town last night after posting. I don't mind men who are 20-30 pounds overweight. But, it also depends on how they carry their weight. I think it depends more on their appearance & by that I mean if they are clean & well dressed then I'll take a second look. Can't find interest in someone who has just obviously let themselves go. My BF recently lost a lot of weight & now is a good weight but has an excess of belly fat that hasn't been toned up. But, it matches my muffin top!laugh
