How cool!
A Fedora 14 beginning when it loads up and an Ubuntu desktop when you look at the set up. I am impressed but then I impress easily. You can see the teardrop of the Fedora 14 then it changes to four teardrops with white changing to yellow, brown, orange and white. Now you are looking at something that reminds you of the old Ubuntu but no then it changes to four balloons in the shape of a butterfly. |

It really doesn't take much to entertain you, does it?

I have been taking fishoil capsules.
Finally got it loaded with several attempts. It loads like Fedora 14 and it updates like Fedora 14. Had to do a restart where it would just shut down and let the CPU cool down for a while since the CPU uses hyperthreading. In a way the OS reminds me of the SuperOS attempt done for the SuperUbuntu effect. I guess it is the best Fedora-Ubuntu hybrid I have seen so far. It is an offshoot of Fedora towards Ubuntu rather than the other way around. It does let you use Ubuntu=like programs that with Fedora wouldn't allow. SuperOS did that with programs that Canonical wouldn't allow or wouldn't support I should say. The hot CPU was messing up the video and I got this distorted image with the unreadable lines but it seems to be okay now. |

If you think Gnome is slow just wait until you try pygnome. Fuduntu has pygnome which is Gnome mixed with Python. It is so stable it reminds me of that old Hunt's catsup commercial. Talk about slow. They really need to build a fire under this OS. It reminds me of an old DOS book where in the picture there is guy a looking at his monitor and the computer is still in the box and not plugged in. The caption underneath the picture reads, "Response time seems slow.
