It is a question that I ask everyone I meet. I am always surprised how difficult it is for some to answer it.

My favourite definition of inspire is to breathe life into...

What breathes life into you?

If you have children, I would guess you would list them...

But what else?

What makes your cells sing?

I'd really like to know.

my kids definitely, but music is certainly one of my main kicks in the ass, couldn't live without it
Friends and the love of my friends is another
now I just neeed the love of a special lady in my life to inspire me some more

Being proven wrong (when I'm down) by the clear philosophies of the optimistic........and creative (such as yourself).

Hmmm I will start with my children....they are my heros been through a lot, and are stronger people than I will ever be.

Next will be my friends, seen them battle depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, and lost loves....they keep on going to face the new path in their life

Music, poetry, laughter, the start of a new day............all bring sunshine into my heart..........

Ok enough from me I can get long winded at times.....

helping others..when I have time..especially the elderly..
alot are on SS and can't afford to do much so I do alot of odd jobs for them.. from framing to eletrical..

What inspires me?

There's no formula -- it can be a tree, a bird, a piece of music, someone I see walking down the street....

Something clicks....

An idea....

A phrase....

You never know....

Once or twice, maybe even a picture I saw right here....!

when i wake up in the morning and go outside with a fresh cup of coffee and look towards the west and see the beautiful rocky mountains and all their glory

My monkey, my friends, my accordion and of course fine Belgian chocolate. :)

The people I work with. After working with this pretty little aide who is less than half my age we developed an unique friendship. After she saw how easy it was talk to me one night she told me that when I got old enough to be in the nursing home myself as a resident that she would come in and change my briefs. I thought that was so cool because I take care of people so much older than me. It inspires me to get even older.

I am inspired by so many things...

- people and their stories - all of you

- nature in all its beauty, strength and wonder - a twig, a bird, a tree, water, mountains, bark, rocks, a bug

In fact, once I worked on a painting outside ... I went in for lunch and when I came back ... bugs had crawled through it and left tracks - it was fantastic. Everyone I know would have set about 'fixing' it ... I embraced it and it became my favourite painting.

- music inspires me ... art ... poetry ...

- bringing joy to people. Reminding them who they are.

- the world through my 4-year old nephew's eyes inspires me

- seeing others in their creative process

- conversation (with and without words)

- notions of who we are and why we are here

- and yes, me too Beachfarmer ... breathing ... BE-ing - tuned in, connected ... ahhhhhhhh

When looking for inspiration.......... Maya Angelou, Dame Evelyn Glennie who is profoundly deaf who is a composer and plays in some of the worlds' leading Philharmonic Orchestras, she is a solo precussionist and has mastered playing 26 musical instruments, my Education Studies tutor and Mary Seacoal.............. a nurse waaaay before Florence Nightingale.

Everything within life and without life and time is connected...

I have every respect for the artist who can draw and paint but my talents remain diminished...

So I imagine the world as I see it and paint it with words..it rarely ends up sounding as it looks...

But it always ends up in the beauty of simply being.
