well i don't know if this qualifies as a muscle car but i'm building a 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. came with a 305 V8 automatic. the 305 has a blown head gasket. so far i swapped the overdrive trans for a 400turbohydro with a b&m shift kit. used a drive shaft off of a seville (all i did was remove the dual universal joint and used only one u joint - fit perfect) can't decide between a 400 small block or a 454 big block instead of the 305

Project rebuild almost done...
An 87 Mustang GT with a stroked 347. All new suspension from front to back. New k-member. 4 inch fiber glass cowl hood. Many other goodies but i cant disclose all of my secrets...lol. Motor is waiting to be picked up at the machine shop. Can't wait to eat up some Mopar's and Chevy's. |

A few of my toys (aka eternally on-going projects).....'69 Camaro, '70 Chevelle, '73 Monte Carlo (Mother Nature seems to spend more time on that one than I do, so I may abort that mission), '74 Corvette, '79 Camaro, '81 Camaro, '83 Trans Am.... Not sure if you can consider this a hot rod, but I have a low mileage Chevette 2 door I bought especially to put a Chev 350 into it. ;)

A buddy and I took his out for a 'test drive' one night. We're going down the road at around 110-120ish and somebody decided to go too slow! Well, of course we had to pass and my buddy overcorrected just a bit... Blew out one of the front tires which put us into the guard rail (and also directly in front of the 'slower moving traffic'), then we bounced off of that and across 3 lanes of traffic into a hillside, which we then bounced off of and rolled 3 times. The car was 'no more', but was that was a heck of a better ride than you'll get at Disney! *Amazingly, we both walked away without a scratch! |

I have been into building cars ever since I can remember. I have had different brands and styles, but as time goes by it have sold them off. Currently I only have 4 vehicles, I would consider the van and truck basically stock compared to my Harley and Grand Prix. The Harley is totally custom old school 9 foot long chopper and the Grand Prix still has the stock body and interior but that is about it...lol. The Grand Prix is my daily driver...

Strange thing was that there wasn't one square inch left unmangled on that car. That is......except for the new top that he just put on and didn't even get touched! |
