Topic: Don't be fooled. It's only astroturf! | |

Don't be fooled by sites that do not check facts... Site in question applied a 'google' style search based on any job that contained 'union official' in the title... (as explained by the site itself if you botherd to 'check' their methods). and the results are as one would expect... I give you one example. Biological Service Technician... Now why would a UNION need such a specialist. another... Factory Manager... Again NOT a Union job... (I have been one). can we at least have the spin attached to something real? Most Union employees work for either the Fed or state government. Do you even know what a Biological Service Technician is? Factory Managers can and often are Union memebers. Ours was! I belonged to the Teamsters and live in a right to work state where Unions have very little power. So... Still does not eliminate the FACT that the above referenced skew of average salery is not for UNION 'officials' but rather for people that are 'rank and file'... Mr. Trumka sure does not make an average salery of 59 thousand dollars. (which is what that site claims as the average for a 'search' of 'union official'). |

Hell fire!
The Koch brothers and their Tea Party associates can't even muster enough support to counter the SECIU protesters in Wisconsin now. And that's the base of operations for Koch Industries. |

I know the Union official that is representing the workers in Wis only makes 148,000 a year.
And that aint squat to what her counterparts are pulling in. I think you have a lot of false impressions of what is and isnt fact. |

Wait till the Union 'executives' realize that they are wasting money needed for the next presidential campaign...
at that point this will blow over real quick. Union coffers should be showing a decided lack of funds being that they are paying tit for tat with a Republican funder... You still don't get it do you? This ain't about them workers 'rights'... And when the Union funding maching realizes the tactical error they will pull back. |

My Daddy always said,
"Some folks will argue with a Stop Sign." I think it's you who doesn't get it. The Wisconsin citizens are already calling for a repeal of the Governor from office. That and the evidence showing what the bill is all about is already killing the Tea Party. Not everyone can be fooled forever. My Daddy used to say that too! "You might fool some of the people some of the time, but you'll never fool all the people all of the time." |

So...
Some citizens are calling for a 'recall'. Just as some called for a 'recall' of every single President in the last decade. Just as some call for the recall of the current President. When a country has 300 million individuals some will allways make such silly games their 'goal'. Mid term elections was a 'recall' of sorts. 2012 will be another. |

You have to have a majority for a recall. Something those calling to impeach Obama don't have.
They think they are a majority but they aren't. Just because you make a lot of noise doesn't make you a majority. It just makes you loud. In the mid-terms most Dems and Independents were just complacent. The Koch brothers were busy making noise. What's happening now in congress and around the country, like in Wisc, is proving their noise was more a nuisance than anything they promised. Let's just call the mid-terms what they really were. Noise pollution! |

I have believed it for many years.. we need term limits on all puplic offices. Political office was never meant to be a Career but a Service

He he he... 2012 will show what democracy looks like... Just as the mid terms did. because the VOTING public does not stand out there and scream and shout... Most of em got jobs. (and a work ethic). |

The survey of 1,033 adults polled nationwide shows that 28 percent said they are a “supporter” of the movement, while 26 percent said they are an “opponent” of tea party activists. Thirty-eight percent said they neither back nor oppose the movement and 8 percent had no opinion. And that number is going down I'm sure. There are other interesting numbers in that poll. Like, 43% of Independents are for the Tea Party. 57% are against. 49% are Republican and only 8% are Dems. 55% make more than $55,000 a year. Onlt 50% of all Americans are at or above that income level. A vast majority are either employed or retired. 6% are unemployed! |

Biggest most telling number in that poll...
It was conducted in April of 2010... almost a year ago... Numbers didn't go down did they. Matter of fact mid terms indicated they went up quite a bit. ![]() |

Nope!
The only thing the mid-terms indicated was that the Dems and Independents were complacent. The shenanigans now being played out across the country will re-energize them in 2012, and disenfranchise the disillusioned who were fooled by the Tea Party. The Republicans realize this fact and that is why they are acting in such a desperate and hurried fashion. They hope to destroy the Dems donor base while raking in the foreign and domestic corp donations that the Republican dominated Supreme Court rewarded them with by overturning Obama's Executive order limiting their involvement in our political process. |

Sorry to bust your bubble...
Republicans are not acting in a 'hurried' fashion. they are proceeding at the pace of government. Hurried would be RUNNING and hiding when you see what is happening to you. Hurried would be attaching a Health Care overhaul to a budget bill loophole because that is the only way you can get it passed. Hurried would be not reading a bill before you passed it. Hurried would be slaming 2000 page bills through congress with only a few days to read them.... ![]() |
