2 cups white all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
6 oz. milk mixed with 2 teaspoons lemon juice, left to sour fifteen minutes on the counter at room temperature
additional 1/2 cup flour
rolling pin
Pam cooking spray
wax paper
cookie sheet, large
flat board for dough
wooden spoon

Preheat over to 400 degrees F.

Sift flour with baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Melt butter and margarine slightly for twenty seconds in a microwave. Cut with two forks into the flour and then blend with hands. Make a well.

Add milk and egg. Blend well. Add flour and mix again. Turn out on to a floured board and knead eighteen times. Spread out with a rolling pin on waxed paper and cut twelves shapes with a small glass. Spray cookie sheet and place biscuits approximately 1 inch apart, further away for crispy ones and closer for doughy, soft ones. Bake for twenty minutes.

I bet these are excellent. I wish I could try some you have made but the reality is, I am generally too lazy to make biscuits. A while back my sister said "Have you tried the frozen Grands?" I hadn't. Last week I saw them in the store so I bought some, 1/2 the price of canned and you can make as few or as many as you want. I was having SOS so I popped a couple in the over and had perfect flaky Grands in twenty minutes. I think they taste better than canned.

I am sure yours from scratch are better.drinker
