John was on a mountain road hitchhicking on a very dark and particularly stormy night.
The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards him out of the darkness & it stopped just beside him. John, desperate for shelter & without thinking about it jumped in the car & closed the door....only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on. The car suddenly started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead & saw a curve approaching. Terrified, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, a ghostly hand appeared out of nowhere through the window, & turned the wheel. John was parylysed with terror. The hand never touched or harmed him. Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of a pub appear down the road. So gathering inner strength, he jumped out of the car & ran to it. Wet & out of breath he rushed inside & started telling everybody about the horrible ghostly experience he had just had. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he wasn't drunk. Suddenly the door opened, & two other people walked in from the dark & stormy night. They like John were also soaked & out of breath. Looking around & seeing John at the bar. One said to the other...... "Be jazus, Sean....there's that bloke that got in the car while we were pushing it!!!!"
