Of the 4 Highwaymen, Willie was the oldest, and Waylon the youngest, I think. Willie born in 1933, Waylon born 1937. I'm not sure about Johnny Cash, I might have to google him to find out
Just did, Johnny Cash was the oldest, born 1932 |

willie was doing a concert in Omaha.
Gwen & I went, as we liked Willie's music. Saw a guy I had just hired, back stage. He got us back stage & an invite to an after party. We just stayed for a few drinks, but did spend about 30 min, talking to willie. |

My favourite would be the live duet of Waylon & Willie, "a Good Hearted Woman"

Have a cd of all 4 of them. Chatting & doing different songs, prob. drinking a little also. Those were the days of "country music" for me.

I would agree with you there Don, the modern so-called country singers are more like country cross overs. Even so, Bobby Bare & Toby Kieth are pretty good value

Is Loretta Lynn still alive?
I have an album of her and Conway twitty signing together. There was one really funny song called "Your'e the Reason our kids are ugly little darlin" |

Even so, Bobby Bare & Toby Kieth are pretty good value Current music is good & like all things, music changes. Willie was the perferred music during the best days of my life. so far. Preferr him, his cronies & the style of the 80's & 90's. |
