Let me get in on this.. There are two shows that I remember from the 70's that very few of my friends can remember, so here are the questions.
1. Don Rickles was the main character on a sitcom that revolved around the military. Name the show. 2a. Another show about the same time was a comedy !?! that dealt with prison life. Name it. 2b. One of the characters from question 2a (can't remember his name-) went on to be a later cast member of a show that starred a man named after a major city in Colorado. Name the city, and the rest will fall into place(at least it did in my kaput brain)..lol |

Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. I think for the first one.
I think the Don Rickles one is CPO Sharkey.
Denver Pyle for the second clue.

Lex, you're right !! I think the show lasted maybe two seasons, but I may be wrong about that..
HillFolk, you have the right person in Denver, but I was asking (in 2a) about a prison comedy show, but he was not in that show. a hint for 2b-since we already have the idea it was Dukes of Hazard- the person from 2a and 2b was one of the deputies on Dukes. But, it was not Roscoe, nor Enos. |

Damn, I just found out that Sorrell Booke who played Boss Hogg on Dukes played a judge on an episode of this other show..
Also found out that Hal Williams from the show 227 was a cast member on this prison comedy show.

This thread started with a Gilligan's Island question. It's high time we get back to that. Here's four questions. Winner gets their chioce of a self pat on the back or a self high-five.
1-Name the 3 castaways whose doubles visited the island. 2-Not counting dream sequences or flashbacks(so don't say the Japanese Sailor), name two characters that were featured in two different episodes. 3-Name two actors who appeared i more than one episode playing a different character each time. Extra credit: Name the 2 characters each actor played. 4-Which castaway's real-life spouse appeared as a guest-star in one episode, and what character did they play? GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!! |

Still waiting on some answers, or at least some guesses. If no one answers them by Saturday afternoon-don't know exactly what time I'll be in-I'll post the answers then. AND keep the fabulous prizes for myself!
