Anyone from here? I looked in regional & there's no listing that I can find for PA. I'll be going there for a few weeks hopefully in the next week. Was suppossed to leave out tomorrow. What kind of attractions is there. I did look up bowling alleys & found one not far from where I'll be staying. thx

I'm not from there, but it's a pretty countryside town.
Shanksville - where Flight 93 went down on September 11th, 2001 is very near there. It is a very moving experience - the memorials left there, out in the middle of nowhere, in a field. It's just an indescribable feeling there. If you go, be sure to go to the Shanksville Elementary school, there are some very nice memorials there, too. A lot of quaint little towns, antique shops around Somerset to browse... |

Pittsburgh is about a 40 minute drive from Sommerset.
Go to Primanti Brothers and get a sandwich. Quaker State & Lube has good food too. |
