I am getting ready to move for the fourth time this year. I get very traumatized when I move into a new place. And moving so often this year has me totally out of my mind. Any advice on making the transition less stressful?

its all a mindset I love moving You have to embrace it and think that starting over in a new area is a good thing and look at it as an adventure not to be dreaded
if you cant change your mindset then it will be that thing you dread and freak out about |

If possible, move a little bit over a period of time. If you have access to the place that you are move to, pack a car load, take it to the new place, unpack it.
That way when you move the big stuff, it will be less to unpack and you will feel a little more settled. |

I find that being organized helps me when I move.

I'm pretty organized as a general rule. I'll try the unpacking a load at a time. Mostly it is getting used to the new place. Bed in a different spot, different noises, the water, etc.

Drink herbal tea. |

Any advice on making the transition less stressful? Moving SUCKS! I have found that being as planned and organized as you can is about all that can be done. And don't push yourself too hard. Plan on not sleeping that well in the new place. Oh and always put down roach powder in all new domiciles even if you are sure there aren't any. I use spider powder too but that is because these places here have black widows;. |

Try to be as organized as possible and get rid of things you don't need( having moved several times this yr. I'm sure you've already done that)..I've moved 28 times in my life, some small ones and twice across country.. The last time I moved(here, 2 1/2 yrs ago) I had the movers pile all the boxes in my living room (I had no lr furniture)and then went to visit my brother in Idaho for a couple of weeks..When I returned I was well rested and able to put everything in place...
