there once was a woman
who valued her shiny clean floors more than her three boys does she ever see them standing looking waiting at the door |

I remember being that woman a long time ago. A older wiser woman once told me. Let your floors get dirty, & leave a few dishes in the sink. Your kids will grow up someday & you'll have all the time in the world to keep a clean house then. I started playing with my kids & cleaning house when they were asleep. She was right. My kids are now grown & I do have all the time I need for a nice home. Those moments with my children was worth a tad messy home!!! Thx for the poem!

Like the song, Cats In The Cradle.....the young grow old as we look to hold-on to all that WE become through their eyes into our hearts.
Lasting through to see them at our doors or us at there's,,,wink.. The circle of life,,,prevails to give witness of all who we become. Nice write... ![]() |
