In the cold black windy darkness,
On a desolate stormy night, The ghost of myself passed away, Without putting up a fight. It faded away to nothing, Leaving only an empty space, And the jaded smell of suffering, Stepped in to take its place. Many wrong turns have led me here, To this barren nightmare waste, To witness my spirit disappear, As punishment for my haste. Sadly I gaze upon the path, I've walked on all these years, It's littered with my broken dreams, And paved by all my tears. I see a fork just up ahead, should I go left, should I go right? I hope the one that i choose, Leads me to the light. . |

OMG!! Jeff, reading that poem I could feel the emotions. I've been the same place many times! This is the best I've seen you write yet!!!

Sometimes I feel like I'm just a shell of who I once was with no emotion!! Like george jones-living & dying with the choices we make. That's why I liked your poem so well!!

Very nice Bedlum. I've been on that road a time or two myself.
