I kinda like the nudges as an ice breaker. But, I'm not into no emails & getting 20 nudges from the same guy in a day & he never says anything!! The wink, nudge, wink get's old after about 4-5 x's. If you're that interested send me a note!!!

I prefer a message to a nudge, and I like someone to be articulate. Good conversation is great too..hell I'd be happy just to get the attention...

Some of the best emails I've gotten is when I've posted something on the forum & someone takes the time to send me a private message of encouragement, etc. That's how I've made many friends here. Me too! |

I don't respond to nudges from strangers for the most part. I prefer an actual email that shows they've read my profile and at least have something to say to me. Just saying hi doesn't do a whole lot. Giving me something to reply to would be a good way to get me to reply, rather than just saying hi. |

Not really sure what to think about nudges and hugs from someone without a message first. I have received some e-mails from a few people but the contact with them has since mellowed, can kinda sense from the wording that their not interested that much. Another gal got right to the point and asked to meet and do something together, I liked that. We have the same interest and likes so I guess I look and read many profiles, I would look at that first.

I prefer straight-forward emails the best...It's a risk to write to someone. There's no telling whether they will respond or not or how they might react. But still...I prefer emails the best. Sending a "nudge" seems a little "wimpy." I've never sent anyone a "nudge." I don't like instant messages from people I don't know yet.

What turns me off....Arrogance Nudge some time good...at least it does pass a sense of interest but reply depends? E-mail and message.....desrves a reply, otherwise people will stop writing..... |

nudges are the stupidest things ever. completely pointless. i only write back if; i've already written to you. if you can spell correctly. don't call me by any stupid pet names. say something completely random yet interesting/entertaining. 
I usually nudge them back anyway just to be nice, but the whole time I'm thinking WTH - just send me a msg, this is stupid
