Topic: A Tribute | |

I am not a poet, which will soon be obvious. This is a tribute to a very sweet young man than I loved like a son. I needed to say these things and this seemed as good a vehicle as any. No comments are necessary. Thank you all for any prayers you send his way.
A Holiday Season filled with cheer Yet I look around to see only tears A young man full of life has left And my heart aches – I am bereft He was serious, funny, and sweet The kind you want your daughter to meet A beautiful spirit, a beautiful man To save my soul, I don’t understand He leaves a hole in many a heart The world is less without his spark I pray he is in a special place I need to believe he is forever safe A late night out with friends A sudden crash and metal bends It appears that all are alive and well Then two weeks later it goes to hell A late night call to give the news A feeling of sickness then ensues A need to cry a need to shout I just don’t know what it’s all about I want to make time turn back There is no blame, that’s a fact But I still want someone to blame It’s just a tragedy and such a shame We love you Trevor |
