What is true friend?

To thine own self be true. That way at least you can be true to yourself. If you can be true to yourself at least you got one friend and that is yourself.

To me my true friends, are the ones who
when I am laughing they laugh with me,
When I am crying they hold me in thier arms and dry my tears,
When I am wrong they correct me,
When i am scared they calm my fears,
When I am horrid they kick my butt,
When i am annoying they tolerate me.
When i am confused they straightene me out.
When I am down they lift me up.

They are the ones who stand by me through the pain and yuck, the ones who tolerate my silliness and fears, the ones who never give up on me, the ones who love me even though I am a pain in there bum,
Sadly in most of our lives we will only meet a few peole who will ever be called a true friend, but I have a few, who are worth more to me than anything I have ever owned, and who i would not swap for anything. They are the greatest gifts I have ever been given.

hmm sort of got side tracked, but to me that is what a true friend is.
