Celtic I actually read the entire thread and all the comments made. I must say that being shy isn t all that bad. I helped my friend break her shell.
HOW ? By making her, ok ok Forcing her to confront her fear of approaching guys. I started with friends of hers that she found attractive, and progressed to total strangers within 2 months she was the life of the party. I guess all I'm trying to say is it's ok if your shy but if you want to progress or break the shell, then just go out and confront your fear. Who cares if you get toungue tied, you will never she that person again, and eventually when you find the "ONE" you will have had so much practice you will be as smooth as the top of my head. |

Well from what I can see..You need to stop being painfully shy and be that funny, witty and outgoing person all the time...Be your true self and it won't matter that your g/f is hot!!!!

You can't blame someone else...If you're the one holding back!!!!!

i would say dont try and compete its not a competition just be your self.when ever you start trying to compare yourself to someone else its like putting up a wall in front of your own true self.

You know, you can always talk to a guy about how shy you are.
"I never know what to say, gosh I hate being so shy." I'm sure a nice guy would have a good answer for that. |

My best friend is a monkey. If I shave his bum we look like twins. I'm the smart one. :)

cricket - from a slightly different perspective here:
I really enjoy going out, hanging out with fabulous looking, outgoing, women. They always seem to be the main attraction and I , being quiet and reserved, love the party coming to me. So, I would find some guy or guys sittin around the scene talking laughing and join in, mostly I would tease them like "you know that one, is hard to handle, think you can do it?" "I could introduce ya you know, she's my friend." This would start us talking, joking etc. Next thing I know, I'm alway being asked for a date or my phone number, that's when I have to tell them my preference is for women. The point is - being quiet and reserved is a good thing, you just have to know how to use it to your advantage. You'd be surprised how many guys, like to look, like to be silly and crazy and may even admit to wanting a 'piece' of that action - but they don't all want to date that person - too much to handle. Try joining the party, instead of being the party. You will find enjoyment and I do believe you will find some action of your own. |
