TOO serious in here lately – here’s some stuff everyone can laugh at (I think). Of course if you don’t think these are funny – You might just 'believe' in the AGENDA. (never mind – you’ll get it)

Attacking gays, women, and Halloween: The Christian Right strikes again
By Mel Seesholtz, Ph.D. Online Journal Contributing Writer Oct 28, 2010, 00:17

“The radical Christian Right does not have a lock on spirituality or how it’s to be experienced. They do, however, have a lock on … hysterical rhetoric.”

I think we ought to close Halloween down. Do you want your children to dress up as witches? The Druids used to dress up like this when they were doing human sacrifice . . . [Your children] are acting out Satanic rituals and participating in it, and don’t even realize it. --Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, October 1982

Addressing a group of conservative voters on Friday, Sen. Jim DeMint, reiterated his belief that openly gay people and unmarried straight women who sleep with a partner shouldn’t teach children

(author of the article commented: - Typical of the Christian Right’s misogyny, Sen. DeMint didn’t seem to mention men “who have sex outside of marriage,”)

Pastor Ken Hutcherson says:
“Legislators around the country are considering … Perhaps they should consider banning the promotion of a lifestyle that the Centers For Disease Control has determined actually causes HIV/AIDS.

(author of the article commented - The only “cause” of AIDS is the HIV virus that globally afflicts more straight people than gays, even adjusting for relative percentages of populations.)

Pastor Ken Hutcherson & David Barton and Rick Green of Wallbuilders radio program discussed the need to have the government to regulate homosexual conduct while warning that failure to do so would lead to the destruction of the United States within three generations:

However it was Also pointed out that:
During his tirade, apparently Barton read from an 1814 “legal study” that suggested gays could destroy America in as little as three generations. An 1814 “legal study”?

Slavery was not only legal but the norm in many states in 1814. Women were not allowed to vote in any political election in 1814 and were squarely placed in a second-class position in patriarchal America.

Minorities and minority rights were definitely not on the minds of the men who wrote that 1814 “legal study.”

The battle over traditional marriage is, in fact, a battle to preserve our civilization from tumbling into the ash heap of history -- as many civilizations have gone before. --Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, Traditional Values Coalition, October 2004

"We are engaged in a social, political, and cultural war. There's a lot of talk in America about pluralism. But the bottom line is somebody's values will prevail. And the winner gets the right to teach our children what to believe."
-- Gary Bauer, Family Research Council

OH I GET IT NOW --- “THE AGENDA”, (below) But what is the Gay AGENDA

"(W)hile it is true that the United States of America was founded on the sacred principle of religious freedom for all, that liberty was never intended to exalt other religions to the level that Christianity holds in our country's heritage.

Our Founders expected that Christianity -- and no other religion -- would receive support from the government as long as that support did not violate peoples' consciences and their right to worship.

They would have found utterly incredible the idea that all religions, including paganism, be treated with equal deference. As for our Hindu priest friend, the United States is a nation that has historically honored the one true God. Woe be to us on that day when we relegate him to being merely one among countless other deities in the pantheon of theologies."

--Family Research Council, Culture Facts newsletter 9/21/2000, commenting on a Hindu priest giving the opening prayer in the House of Representatives

“WOE BE TO US” ? Oh yea that’s the whole basis of the following

4. We oppose the gay movement's efforts to convince our society that their behavior is normal because we fear the judgment of God on our nation.

(commontator)In this instance, we can see some of the fear and desperation hiding behind their opposition to homosexuality - they aren't just trying to save some sinners, but they fear that their "loving" god will punish the entire nation. Evidently, this god of theirs is not simply interested in punishing the actual perpetrators of sin by casting them into Hell after they die. Instead, this "loving" god will punish the entire nation corporately as one, as if all were to be made responsible for the actions of any one.

I took the liberty of only posting the summary in the next one.
IS THIS “THE AGENDA” we can expect in our schools if THEY win????

http://www.religiousrightwatch.com/2010/05/goplinked-punk-rock-ministry-says-executing-gays-is-moral-and-each-gay-person-molests-117-people-bef.html

You Can Run But You Cannot Hide, Inc., a 501-c-3 nonprofit ministry that brings its hard rock gospel into public schools

Just to make sure you're following, here's a current rundown of GREAT TRUTHS:
*Each gay person molests 117 people before they're found out.
*Jews in the Middle Ages poisoned wells, caused the Black Death, and sacrificed Christian babies.
*Now only the Masons do those sorts of things. Oh, and "the gays."
*All black people devour fried chicken and watermelon all the live-long day.
*The Earth is about 6,000-12,000 years old. So, things like 350,000 year-old pigments in Zambian cave art or 30,000 year-old flax clothing fibers in the Caucasus or 4,400,000,000 year-old zircon in Canada are all falsehood that Satan has duped 1,000's of obviously God-hating scientists into believing, which is especially easy for Satan to do because scientists love to agree with each other all of the time and are reluctant to challenge other scientists' ideas or attempt to confirm their experiment-based findings.
*Blondes are dumb.

If that’s THEIR Agenda than I think the following MUST BE THE GAY AGENDA – what do you think?

we atheists and freethinkers should take a keen interest in this. Although it may not seem like "our fight, " every battle to expand liberty and promote freedom should be actively supported by us. In addition to being glad of the prospect of seeing the influence of the Religious Right diminish, we must keep in mind that should they win, we will almost certainly be their next targets. - http://atheism.about.com/library/FAQs/rr/blfaq_rr_afa_homosexuality.htm

In Minnesota, Religious Right Fights Anti-Bullying Policies, GSA’s

The Minnesota Family Council (MFC) is pushing back against efforts to improve the climate for LGBT students in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, where community members are mourning suicides by four LGBT students in the last year. The real issue is “homosexual indoctrination,” not anti-gay bullying, says MFC’s Tom Prichard, who says the students are dead because they adopted an “unhealthy lifestyle.”

I THOUGHT THE REAL ISSUE WAS “THE AGENDA”?

Religious Right Leader Says Gays in Military Bring Nazism
It appears Congress is on the verge of repealing the controversial “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy for gays in the military. But that, according to the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer, would be a mistake of epic proportions: It could produce gay, goose-stepping Nazis in America.

Fischer, the religious-right group’s director of issue analysis for government and public policy, claimed last week that Adolf Hitler’s storm troopers were, in fact, a sinister gay fighting force. Only homosexuals were sufficiently vicious to carry out Hitler’s most brutal orders without question, Fischer argues. Heterosexual soldiers just weren’t up to the gruesome task.

Religious Right Leader Says Yoga Is a Sin Against Christianity
by Michael A. Jones October 07, 2010

"To a remarkable degree, the growing acceptance of yoga points to the retreat of biblical Christianity in the culture. Yoga begins and ends with an understanding of the body that is, to say the very least, at odds with the Christian understanding," SBS President Albert Mohler said. "When Christians practice yoga, they must either deny the reality of what yoga represents or fail to see the contradictions between their Christian commitments and their embrace of yoga."

You might think that Mohler is a lonely voice on this subject. But he's most certainly not. Pat Robertson once called yoga "spooky," and a California megachurch pastor, John MacArthur, called yoga a "false religion."

Religious Right: We're Concerned About Gay TSA Agents
… the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which is getting all sorts of flak for new screening procedures at airports that many passengers say are nothing short of "virtual foreplay" or "sexual assault."

Passenger outrage at the new TSA screenings have even launched a new line of T-shirts with the words "You touch my junk and I'll have you arrested" plastered on the front.

But if you ask Peter LaBarbera with the radical religious right group Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), it's not new TSA screening procedures that should have passengers upset. It's the fact that some TSA agents might be gay or lesbian that should have passengers clamoring for refunds on their plane tickets.

LaBarbera goes on to say that the TSA, by letting gay or lesbian TSA agents search people of the same gender, is fostering discrimination. You know, against all those religious people who are forced by the TSA to undergo pat downs from the homosexuals.

"To allow homosexual agents to conduct same-gender pat-downs is tantamount to a new form of discrimination that must be recognized and prevented," LaBarbera ended.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-abortion_violence

In the U.S., violence directed toward abortion providers has killed at least eight people, including four doctors, two clinic employees, a security guard, and a clinic escort.[5][6]

•March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida was fatally shot during a protest. He had been the subject of wanted-style posters distributed by Operation Rescue in the summer of 1992. Michael F. Griffin was found guilty of Dr. Gunn's murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

•July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton and James Barrett, a clinic escort, were both shot to death outside another facility in Pensacola. Rev. Paul Jennings Hill was charged with the killings. Hill received a death sentence and was executed on September 3, 2003.

•December 30, 1994: Two receptionists, Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols, were killed in two clinic attacks in Brookline, Massachusetts. John Salvi was arrested and confessed to the killings. He died in prison and guards found his body under his bed with a plastic garbage bag tied around his head. Salvi had also confessed to a non-lethal attack in Norfolk, Virginia days before the Brookline killings.

•January 29, 1998: Robert Sanderson, an off-duty police officer who worked as a security guard at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, was killed when his workplace was bombed. Eric Robert Rudolph, who was also responsible for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing, was charged with the crime and received two life sentences as a result.

•October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot to death at his home in Amherst, New York. His was the last in a series of similar shootings against providers in Canada and northern New York state which were all likely committed by James Kopp. Kopp was convicted of Dr. Slepian's murder after finally being apprehended in France in 2001.

•May 31, 2009: Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed by Scott Roeder as he served as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.[7]

An activist judge ordered a home school mom in New Hampshire to stop home schooling her daughter because the little girl “reflected too strongly” her mother’s Christian faith.

In the last year alone, gay men have been arrested in Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. In Uganda, lawmakers are considering a bill that would sentence homosexuals to life in prison and include capital punishment for 'repeat offenders.' And in South Africa, the only country that recognizes gay rights, gangs have carried out so-called "corrective" rapes on lesbians.

I guess I am humorless on these subjects.

I find mans ignorance disturbing for the most part.

Showing a lack of intelligent thought that is actually harmful and hateful to other humans is shameful.

Using any of the antiquated ideas of man to persecute people for their own individuality or how they were born is not a laughing matter. It is dangerous.

You win the gold medal, irony is rarely seen from the perspective of individuals that create it.

I would like to think that a few rare individuals simply need it to be pointed out.

If nothing else, noticing that those with whom one shares an alliance may be more laughable than credable may reduce the tendancy of others to follow blindly.

It was a stab in an otherwise dark place.
