I know it is not my place to say this to my niece about her 20 month old son, but I couldn't believe she did this.

She had to take him to the hospital the other night because of a 104.1 temp. The doctor gave him some antibiotics and the fever went down so they went home. Two days later (yesterday) his fever was back almost as high and he was coughing and sluggish, so back to the doctor he went...after being told her son has pnuemonia, my niece took him to the mall so she could get his pictures taken with Santa for their Christmas card!!!!!

My brother could have dressed like Santa and then they wouldn't have to have taken him to the mall.....last night his temp spiked to 104.6!! I just want to smack my niece in the back of the head right now!!!!!

End of rant.....

Kids have no business having kids. I think young mothers should have to take parenting classes...just sayin'

She's 23....Her father (my brother) didn't want her taking the baby out but his wife kept saying "But she needs to get the cards done!!"

The pictures of the baby with Santa are going to be the Christmas cards. That's why I say my brother should have just dressed as Santa, he has the natural padding and beard.

I was 23 when I had my oldest too....but knowing he has pnuemonia and a temp close to 104, she shouldn't have even thought twice aboout it. Keep him home, have his grandpa dress as Santa and help him get better.

Who even cares about the stupid Christmas cards... I would be more worried about the baby getting better regards of anything else!

i dont really consider 23 a young age for children.

I don't either, considering I had mine at 23 and 24. I just consider her to be irresponsible for taking her very sick toddler out to a busy public place just for the sake of getting a picture with Santa.

And my niece had to bring the baby back to the hospital tonight. ...I haven't heard if he went home or had to stay. Maybe if they keep him in there, she won't do anything else risking his health.

I don't think she is to young, I just think she is stupid. Who cares about the cards when your baby is sick. You just send our regular cards and do the santa thing next year..can you say DUH!!!
