(Reuters) - North Korea has placed surface-ro-surface missiles on launch pads in the Yellow Sea, Yonhap news agency reported on Sunday.

It said also the reclusive state had moved surface-to-air missiles near frontline areas.

The reports came as the United States and South Korea began joint military exercises in waters west of the Korean Peninsula in the face of opposition by regional giant China and threats of "consequences" from Pyongyang.

South Korea also ordered residents of an island shelled by North Korea last Tuesday to evacuate to shelters, a Reuters witness said.

"They ordered people here to move to shelters saying there is an emergency situation," the witness said, adding there were no details available.

The womens movement took criticisms like this for criticizing government during a time of war....all crticisms are necessary for change to take place you both have freedom of speech and rights to your opinions whether it makes one person sick or not......America won't stand together.....their are too many difference for that to happen now........personally I don't wish to see anymore lives lost over this stupidness but fear we are headed for a third WW myself and the allies aren't so clear cut this time

This incident will probably turn out to be more exchanges of hot air. When 46 Koreans were killed by the North on a S. Korean ship recently, there were going to be "grave consequences if it happened again" and nothing happened. The North recognizes hot air for what it is.

If a real nuke was to drop first, it would be the North taking out an American Aircraft carrier as a much bigger bluff. N. Korea probably has enough nukes and delivery systems now to take out the South, Japan, and some of the West Coast of the US. It is not a sure bet what the South and America would do if an aircraft carrier was taken out in a "show of strength".

This wouldn't be happening if we had someone with "a sack" in the White House.
