Best piece of technology or modern spyware? Some say that it invades privacy by having a webcam. I say it is a piece of equipment that keep you safe because you know what is going on before it happens. I also know it has changed the dating scene because of its very presence.
Any thoughts about this and do you own one? I own several and my computer has one built in. Some sites ask for webcam video of you. |

If you think its invasion, don't turn it on, or don't get one in the 1st place. Makes sense, no?

I don't like them. I used to have one but men are just down right rude and think that if a woman has one we are there to entertain them in ways just not appropriate. For most people anyway. And I found men are more than willing to show their wares when they have one. So I got rid of mine and won't view them either!

I have to use one for work and I'm not a fan. I have used one on occasion either before going on a date, or just seeing someone I don't see often, though.

I use one and really enjoy having it to chat with my family and others long distance but 9 times out of ten when using it to chat with a man the first thing that they say is now stand up and let's have a look at you ect. I don't think it is the cams it is that a lot of people lack respect.

Ignorant people are everywhere and permeate every facet of life. You just allow for the idiot factor and move on. |

Because of that idiot factor, you're going to find that a lot of women are wary about webcams. I can see why they're good, however I'm not going to want to use one with every person I chat with. I'm just not interested in that.
