Supposedly, there is a thought (or more like a belief) that if you are a single man, you should never date any chick during the Holiday seasons (starting with Thanksgiving) and going all the way through to Valentine's Day. The thought is that a single guy will not have to endure the pressure's of meeting a ton of family, or feeling obligated to buy gifts. I actually laughed when I heard this, but apparently a lot of guys do follow this line of thinking. And, in a way, I can see why.

Now, I am wondering if any guys (or any chicks) here do subscribe to this? Or, if you actually think that this line of thinking makes sense?

What does Goof think? I say, if you meet a chick (during this time period), make sure you tell her that you have all your money tied up in investments. tongue2

I would never have that problem as I don't celebrate any of the holidays. I only respect one day of the year and that is Remembrance day/Veteran's day for you Americans. I would tell the man I dated to go by himself and spend Holiday time with his family; that way there is not pressure on either of us. He would not be obligated to have me with him for the holidays.

Oh yes :-)
Not all that warming on a cold night though.

That's what blankets are for.

I have never wrapped up in a blanket that
made my toes curl.
Where you buying these?

Now you're just asking for too much.

I say you should never start a new relationship around Valentine's Day. Chicks always want flowers on that day, or a nice evening out. Which is fine....if you have been together for an established amount of time.

Now, Christmas? Hell. Find a rich chick and ask her for that new LED TV ya always wanted.

Me and my ex started dating on Dec.28th. So I can see why someone would avoid dating at that time. I wouldn't avoid it because of some rule. If I met my man and we started dating at that time then that's fine. I would just simply say I am uncomfortable going since we just started dating.
