Christmas is the celebration of the coming of our Christ, Jesus. Why would we not acknowledge him on this day? Why would we not praise the lord in all his greatness and be thankful for all he does?

2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

amen! I do. Just I wish to give the lord at least one day that is ABSOLUTELY just to him in everything I do through the day eg., giving gifts out of love, celebrating his birthday, and having a union of family to rejoice in the lord more powerful then on a regular day.

This all can not be done EVERYDAY, for we still have to work to pay bills and do things that have to do with our own lives. I mean yes doing the will of our father through these other things as well, but that still isn't enough praise given to our father and he is deserving of at least one day for total praise and worship in 100% of the things one does on that day.

Wasn't Jesus supposed to have been born in the summer though? The Roman census was conducted in August traditionally, reason being that farmers were not harvesting at that time so they could leave their fields and not worry about bad weather traveling. The Romans were not stupid. Now with that in mind the Birth of Jesus as told to us and historical timings don't coincide!

During the founding of the Christian Faith they openly celebrated at the Jovian Year's End celebration the Romans had and they would party for two weeks so the Christians could openly celebrate and not worry about being caught and persecuted.

Now since the 1950's Christmas as we know it has been a gradual advertising champagne to get people (sheeple) to spend money. It has been nothing but a perversion of the real (supposed) meaning of the season.

Now on top of all of this did not Jesus himself say "WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD???"

Also Mary was not the only woman to have a Virgin Birth. They still happen from time to time. How? Well, some women are under the impression that 'it don't mean Jack if it goes up the crack!' Now let us say a couple is happily entertaining back door entertainment and in his excitement he yanks out a little too far and something gets sprayed somewhere it should not have. Well, Sperm are very optimistic and motivated. All they need is a wet pathway and they are off looking for that egg to fertilize. A Hymen will not block out sperm. Needless to say virgin births still happen to this day. So is every virgin birth an act of God or not?

I have heard there is suspicion Mary was Raped by Roman soldiers too. That is more likely what happened. Then again Joseph also could have been the daddy! Greek Delight (Back Door sex!) has been around since before Greece.

People are just too eager for someone to save them from themselves.

Analogy, ten people are in a sinking boat. Nine are praying to God to save them, one is furiously bailing water out of the boat with a bucket. The other nine accuse the one trying to save them all for being Godless in not praying with them. Finally the guy bailing water gets pissed off, takes the bucket and dives in the water to save himself by swimming to rescue rather than put up with being ridiculed for trying to save them all and the boat sinks and the other nine people drown. THAT IS CHRISTIANITY! A sinking boat no one wants to get off of their lazy azzes to save themselves! And they have the sand to look at those who choose to save themselves as being damned!

Don't do the sin and you don't need forgiveness! How simple is that? Too Simple I guess!

Merry Fuquing Christmas!

BTW, if I get a chance I am Mugging Santa this year and stealing his sleigh! With my luck though Rudolph's light up nose also harbors a laser!

This would mean, then, that His conception took place in late December. Thus, it might well be that when we today celebrate Christ’s birth at what we call Christmas (i.e., ‘Christ sent’), we are actually celebrating His miraculous conception, the time when the Father sent the Son into the world, in the virgin’s womb. This darkest time of the year—the time of the pagan Saturnalia, and the time when the sun (the physical ‘light of the world’) is at its greatest distance from the Holy Land—would surely be an appropriate time for God to send the spiritual ‘light of the world’ into the world as the ‘Savior, which is Christ the Lord’ (Luke 2:11)
=====================

The date was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church. Because Rome dominated most of the “Christian” world for centuries, the date became tradition throughout most of Christendom.

=====================

So, why was December 25 chosen to remember Jesus Christ’s birth with a mass (or Communion supper)? Since no one knows the day of his birth, the Roman Catholic Church felt free to chose this date.

Remember, the Roman world had been pagan. Prior to the fourth century, Christians were few in number, though increasing, and were persecuted by the government and by pagans. But, with the advent of Constantine as emperor, who made his profession of Christianity in the fourth century, placing Christianity on an equal footing with paganism, people of the Roman world began to accept this now-popular Christianity by the hundreds of thousands.

But remember, these people had grown up in pagan customs, chief of which was this idolatrous festival of December 25th. It was a festival of merrymaking, with its special spirit. They enjoyed it! They did not want to give it up! Now this same article in the New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge explains how the recognition by Constantine of Sunday, which had been the day of pagan sun worship, and how the influence of the pagan Manichaeism, which identified the SON of God with the physical SUN, gave these pagans of the fourth century, now turning over wholesale to "Christianity," their excuse for calling their pagan-festival date of December 25th (birthday of the SUN-god) the birthday of the SON of God.

Deuteronomy 12:29-31 (King James Version)

29 When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

Actually all the Israelites were commanded to come to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles.

This is done on the 15th day of the 7th month (sept/oct) Sacred Calender each year. The end of the Harvest and the Harvest was brought as a sacrafice.

The Romans did the same as they did cater to them and it also made sence do do it then.

Yahshua's birth can be traced through his Cousins Fathers heritage. He was in the Temple when he became mute and his service to the temple can be traced.. Shalom...Miles

So he is reduced to once a year. The real reason for the Christ Sabbath is to commerate gods gift... not the son but the gift of the holy spirit.

The reason for the season asked not for one day a year.

Remember this day...

Keep it holy...

and it darn sure ain't christmas.

Christmas was placed on the Pagan holiday specifically to stomp it out and replace it which they accomplished.

Nobody know when Jesus was born.I really don't think it matters when we celebrate just as long as we celebrate it every year.I don't think it makes it any less that we celebrate it on December 25th.

Pagans may have decorated trees first but that isn't what Christmas trees stand for today.Just like(insert group here)may have held music festivals first,danced first,and other things first.I put a Christmas tree in my living room and decorate it as a reflection as Jesus Christs birth.It has nothing to do with Pagans and nothing to do with their religion.Jesus Christ knows I am doing this in honor to him and there is nothing wrong with doing that.That is why every church at Christmas time has Christmas trees in the lobby.

On the other hand if Christians were dressing up trees in the woods and dancing around them giving praise to the earth mother this would be wrong.This is what the bible spoke of.Worshiping false Gods.
