Topic: 14 Reasons to Deport Illegal Aliens... | |
---|---|
GF, Im only using the figures given to me by the OP.
In fact I added 10 million illegals to allow a little latitude in the facts. If you use the figures exactly, then 10 million illegals sending home $45billion is $4500 a year. Ok .. 2 packs of cigarettes a day. But you will never see this money anyway. If the illegals kept it and stuffed it under the mattress - you dont get to see it If they put it in the bank - you dont see it. If you are prepared to work 70 hours a week picking tomatoes to earn less than minimum wage - then you will see it or If you are prepared to buy a field and plant tomatoes in it and pay the Mexicans to work 70 hours a week picking tomatoes to earn less than minimum wage - then you will see it. So, because you are not going to see it, why worry about it. If they dont employ illegals, the cost of tomato picking goes up, as no US legal citizen will spend 70 hours a week picking tomatoes for legal minimums. If the cost of tomato picking goes up, the cost of tomatoes goes up. Simple laws of economics. If you dont have them, then your economy will suffer. If you do have them, you can sleep comfortably that some poor bast4rd is working for $2.50 an hour picking your tomatoes. |

That old tomato analogy is bogus. Here is a fact not an assumption, if there are no illgeals here they can't send any money home. They don't have to be here illegally, that has always been my point. I have no problem with people entering this country LEGALLY to work. I have a big problem with people entering this country ILLEGALLY for any reason work included. The fact is that at least half of the Illegal Aliens here are not working. If you feel so much for them, take them to England and support them over there. You say without them our economy will suffer, our economy is suffering with them and the billions of dollars it takes to support them which could be used for other programs. The question is not whether or not we need immigrant workers in this country, the question is are we willing to let millions of people enter and remain in this country ILLEGALLY, and the answer to that question is not only no but HELL NO!

We have our own immigration issues too.
The tomato analogy was indeed so full of holes it leaked .. I agree. But the point is, your country will not allow people to come and work in your country legally, so there is not a great deal of choice. Either stay in their own country and die or go to the place where their life will be pants, but they will still be alive. Did you know that there are only 3 countries that are not allowed to enter the annual Green Card lottery? Russia China & The Uk! People born in Northern Ireland, who carry a British passport are allowed to enter but, for example, I am not. Not relevant to the discussion, I agree, but fact nonetheless. |

Where oh where to start Andrea?
We do allow legal immigration into the United States Belushi. 17%........ We also allow a large number of legal work visas for the Ag industry! The 12-24 million you hear about are illegal.(period) The cost to Tax payers in NC alone last year was $997,000,000! Yes thats 997 million dollars!(US) $10 a pack? Dam, that high, 3 time higher than here, but thats neither here than there. Andrea, I wont start with the Europeans immigration laws today! (yet) Ill just say it appears yall have enough inhumane immigration policies without worrying about our humane ones! I have posted this before, but it was way back. Let me add these numbers straight from the FBI to sluggo's: INS/FBI Statistical Report on Undocumented Immigrants 2006 (First Quarter) INS/FBI Statistical Report on Undocumented Immigrants CRIME STATISTICS 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens. 83% of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens. 86% of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens. 75% of those on the most wanted list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens. 24.9% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally 40.1% of all inmates in Arizona detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally 48.2% of all inmates in New Mexico detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally 29% (630,000) convicted illegal alien felons fill our state and federal prisons at a cost of $1.6 billion annually 53% plus of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens. 50% plus of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal aliens from south of the border. 71% plus of all apprehended cars stolen in 2005 in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California were stolen by Illegal aliens or “transport coyotes". 47% of cited/stopped drivers in California have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 47%, 92% are illegal aliens. 63% of cited/stopped drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 63%, 97% are illegal aliens 66% of cited/stopped drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66% 98% are illegal aliens. BIRTH STATISTICS 380,000 plus “anchor babies” were born in the U.S. in 2005 to illegal alien parents, making 380,000 babies automatically U.S.citizens. 97.2% of all costs incurred from those births were paid by the American taxpayers. 66% plus of all births in California are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers |

Georgia's new immigration laws take effect July 1!!!!

12.30.2006
News / Illegal alien law to effect in 2007 Among the new laws that will take effect during 2007 is one that seeks to deny state benefits to illegal aliens, regulate their employment and train police to enforce immigration law. Most of Senate Bill 529, the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, will take effect on July 1, 2007, but the law is already having an impact on how state agencies conduct business and maintain records. The law requires citizenship verification for individuals using Georgia??™s public services to ensure they are legally eligible to receive those services. For example, all individuals over the age of 18 who want to receive state benefits must sign a document stating they are a U.S. citizen or a legal alien, which is then checked against a federal database. Prenatal and emergency care are exempted from the requirement. The law also requires citizenship verification of state employees and employers with state contracts and subcontracts. The requirement will apply to employers with more than 500 employees beginning July 1, 2007, and to other employers in 2008-2009. The law requires a 6 percent state withholding tax for all nonresident aliens, which is an alien who does not meet either the IRS??™s green card test, such as a lawful permanent resident, and not a U.S. citizen. Beginning in 2008, the law requires that businesses compensating undocumented employees more than $600 a year may not claim wages as an allowable business expense. The law encourages cooperation between Georgia law enforcement agencies with those at the federal level on enforcement of immigration laws. It gives law enforcement the authority to crack down on human trafficking and check the legal status of anyone charged with a felony or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The immigration status of people in the Georgia state prison system is already checked. The Decatur County Sheriff??™s Office is aware of the law and is awaiting further information from the Georgia Department of Public Safety, the agency which will oversee training on immigration laws, said Major Wendell Cofer. The law limits what services a for-profit immigration assistance company can provide and criminalizes certain actions, including advertising themselves as a public notary, lawyer or attorney. In a decision related to the immigration law, Georgia public colleges will no longer be allowed to grant in-state tuition breaks to illegal aliens, due to a new policy set by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. |

We have a State gov. Represenative here that wants to require proof of citizenship at all Western Union Offices for anyone attempting to send money to certain S. American countries, like Mexico, Guatemala, and etc.!
Its being challenged as racist however, and probably never will be law! Our police are being trained to act as INS agents though, seen that working already! |
