OkCupid is the only other online dating site that has tickled my fancy as well. LexFonteyne: Does eHarmony even do man-man & woman-woman matching? Not that I know of. According to some things I read, the guy who started that site is a very fundamentalist Christian who doesn't want "those people" on his site. Welcome to the 14th Century.... |

My first experience I was about 31 and was on Yahoo personals, HAd soem nightmare first dates, then kinda accidetnally found soemone in real life local, and deactivated it.
So this time after getting seperated and startign again, I found Mingle, and am at least glad of all the friends I've made. As far as dates. Had one major scammer waste my time for 2 months, and comments form guys across the globe, But noone I could actually get to without a plane ticket. OH WEll Such is life. LOL |

shoot. Is this the final resting place of the unmatchable? And, the paid sites didn't tell me I'm unmatchable, but they aren't all they say they are - I just joined a paid site and it has a 6 mo guarantee - watch me walk outta there in 6 mos refund in hand. ![]() I also may be singing a different tune once I've been on the site awhile, we'll see. not even sure why I joined...well ya, honestly to try to meet more people in my area because I recently moved...and the paid does seem to have more people in my area that contact me. But the contacts don't seem serious - like they are pd site ambassadors???...what the heck maybe I'll end up with a pd site ambassador ![]() I haven't been on it long ...I am still waiting to see what makes it worth the price tho... ![]() |

I've been on a few dates from "other" sites but they didn't lead anywhere. I met someone in real-time but I just dread that "get-to-know-you" step. This one guy I see is pretty cool but he's quite the jabber jaws. But date sites raaaaaarely work. Just something to pass the time and "window shop".
Wow e-harmony be haters sounds like! |

well as to the OP - when I first got on here I didn't participate in the forums at first either, and when I did, I would type exactly how I would talk, and use the same manners I would would IRL. So I was shocked at some of the things I saw and responses. There are a couple of free sites where the forums are brutal
e harmony isn't one of them - actually I think e harmony seems like a really nice site. and also GG ur 1st few dates sound like my experience at first. I've found maybe 2 men who I'd really like to meet, but all of them live pretty far away...that's the only real down side to this is that I am trying to connect locally but I spend a lot of my time talking to guys hundreds of miles away... |

Yea that's usually how it works, the one you'd seem to be most compatible with is like 2 or 3 hours away and drop-dead gorgeous.
So here I sit. ![]() |

singleparentmeet.com
i thought it would be great to go where the single parents were so i dont exactly have to explain i have three kids, turns out arranging dates between the schedules of two single parents is very difficult. The men there are much more mature though and dateable. no offense. |
