Well, when you stop grouping all liberals together, you'll stop making assumptions like we'd all agree with what the Westboro Baptist Church does.

WBC does need to be shut down, i will agree with that... Although I am diametrically opposed to that particular organization (I refuse to call them a church)... They have the right in a free society to act like bigots and speak their minds. AS did the Missouri town that evidently made it immpossible for them to interupt a family in mourning. |

I can't say I know anyone who actually agrees with what they do. Liberal or conservative.

Too bad the entire town wasn't armed with needles, guns, swords, CS gas foggers, flame throwers, rotting chicken carcasses and introduced WBC to the business end of common sense people. |

Too bad the entire town wasn't armed with needles, guns, swords, CS gas foggers, flame throwers, rotting chicken carcasses and introduced WBC to the business end of common sense people. No really... Much more sane to just block there ability to reach the area where they intended. Peacefull yet effective. Reckon (given the disposition of some I have met from the show-me state) if the WBC had come out with violence they would have been met with same. Worked out much better this way. |

If they were eradicated we wouldn't have to worry about THIS bunch again. |

Good for that town blocking the protest. wow we almost agree on something? weird... I don't think she is really feeling well tonight. Ah, so I'm supposed to agree with some hateful church? Uh huh. no offense, but it wouldn't have surprised me... liberals are liberals, after all... What exactly surprises you about this? Did you think I'd support people protesting at soldiers' funerals? Or support people who are complete homophobes? Really? i just never know whats coming next from a liberal...but when you put it like that, it really doesn't make a lot of sense... I think I know Meg well enough that I know she wouldn't support any group like this or ANY hate group at all no matter what affiliation. |

They will just start to fizzle out like an unconected fuze. |

Why needles or guns? Phelps would go down with one hit so would any of his followers and a whole toen of witnesses who didn't want them there in the first place who can say you were attacked first. |

Are they connected with Moveon? The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is an independent Baptist church known for its stance against homosexuality[1] and its protest activities, which include picketing funerals and desecrating the American flag.[2] The church is widely described as a hate group[3] and is monitored as such by the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center. It is headed by Fred Phelps and consists mostly of members of his large family;[4] in 2007, it had 71 members.[5] Located in a residential neighborhood on the west side of Topeka about three miles west of the Kansas State Capitol at 3701 West 12th Street, Topeka, Kansas, United States, its first public service was held on the afternoon of Sunday, November 27, 1955.[6] The church has been actively involved in the anti gay movement since at least 1991 when it sought a crackdown on homosexual activity at Gage Park about a mile northwest of the church.[7] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church Westboro has nothing to do with Christianity. They are simply using religion as a excuse to spew hatred towards everyone because they can claim it is freedom of religion. If you have never visited their website I strongly urge to do so because you will quickly see they are nothing but a group of idiots who hate everyone including other Christians. You will also not find any support from other Christian churches backing these morons or anyone who agrees with them.Personally I can't stand them and can only hope their church ends up in flames one day which would be nothing less than a act from God. It is also a rarity to find any Christian churches not supporting our military.I think the only Christian church that doesn't support our military is Wesboro. |

They need to be investigated and prosecuted. |

Sorry, I think I need to wear my glasses again. I thought your screen name had Meg in it............ haha, nope. But, thank you. You are correct in saying that I'd never support any type of hate group. |
