the earth shall inherit the meek
profetic prose,thats what we seek
i speak from the my head
you hear with your heart
simple words can tear us apart
and yet
expressed
or at least said
releases the words
from inside my head
the words that i think
are tender and dear
from my heart to my mouth
and then to your ear
but thats not what happens
nowhere near
from my heart to my head
to my brain to my mouth
has changed the words
from north to south
reversed the feelings
turned them to fear
what i wanted to say
you'll never hear
i need to find
a better path
to allow my speech
to come from my heart
bypass my head
and fall to your ear
hopefully then
my speech will be clear

Now this is what I call a poem...It rhymes and it has meaning.

I can appreciate your heart
meaningful. There is that turn that happens, that bypass..to us all.
