And unless the guy was able to pay for the ring in full rather than buy it on credit then they sure aren't going to give him any money back because he had insurance on it... at least I would surely think not!

Hummmmmm well in the first place if he happen to buy Insurance on the ring and it was lost or stolen he would have to file a police report. It takes approximately 10-15 days for it to be filed in order to get the report back which would have to be given to the jewelry store Insurance company in order to file the claim... It would take them at least a few weeks after that to decide if it is covered ect.... And unless he paid cash for it they would not even hand him a check. I mean who can pay $6,000 cash for a ring most the time it would have to be on credit and with the deductible doubt he would get anything back....
Now if he paid cash for it they do give you 30 days to return jewelry for a refund.... Ohhh and Kay's Jewelry Store does carry engagement rings that are worth $6,000 but doubt they sell very many of them..... And second of all how did he loose the ring in a wreck was his car totaled? Or rolled in order for it to fall out... And why did he not get another ring if he got his money back? Way too many if's for me to believe him lol...... |

you know a engagement ring is the mans until you get married then it is hers learn something new on judge mathis every day Actually in most areas it's the womans property (gift/promise) unless there is a breakup...if the guy initiates-she keeps the ring, if she initiates-he gets it back. |

I'm thinking he's full of ****, he never bought the ring.. No jewelry story is going to give you the money back without the ring and the paperwork unless he bought the insurance policy through them which I would think would still take time to process.. I doubt they let the workers just hand out $6000 in cash back to a customer, it's Kay's for crying out loud.. Most places, you pay in cash you get a check back in the mail unless it's with a couple of hours of the purchase...

He's lying through his teeth.....NO store would give anyone a $6,000 refund if there was no ring or receipt to prove the sale was made.
And I have also heard that once the man gives the ring, it is her property (gift) unless she breaks off the engagement then she should return it. |

It varies by state of course but if it's given for a birthday, holiday, etc then it's a gift and her's even if she calls it off.. If she calls it off and it's given outside of the "gift" then she's supposed to give it back... |
