From your last two statements it seems you feel attacked...that's
kind of the way Tanya felt. As Joy said earlier, it was meant to
be a humorous relay of an earlier experience she had, not something
to post opinions on, however, from you first two statements-you
kind of "assumed" what she thought and felt. The forums are here
to post, reply, share thoughts, feelings, and opinions, but there
is a line that crosses into the rude/hostile area, which all of
us have done for whatever reason at some time or another. With
the internet that's all the more reason to meter what we say before
typing as not to offend anyone. That of course does not mean that
with "constructive" debates at least some will not be offended or
in some way object, but with simple posts such as this you have to
take into account the subjectivity in which it is meant to begin
with before replying.

P.S. Yes, there is a pretty diverse, yet "fond" bond between a lot
of people here, but that does not mean that there is not room for
others as long as they play nice...at least most of the time.

I have no problem with people stating their opinions. However, some people seem to get all bothered when their advice isn't taken, even when it wasn't asked for.

I don't have problems with people's opinions either.

My grandmother is my role model. I try to embrace her ways of giving opinions.

She doesn't give an opinion unless asked or really feels it's needed. Otherwise, she lets others live their lives how they see fit and make their own mistakes.

So, if someone asks for my advice, I will probably give it. I think before I give advice when not asked. Only when I absolutely feel the need to give an opinion will I give one.
