I have seen so many threads tonight based upon looks...I even created 1 or 2.

Just wondering...what do you consider to be attractive in your eyes? What do you specifically look for or would love to have if you could?

i think lust is the number one thing that comes up when looking at a potential mate.

So what happens when that part of it wears off and all you have is anything but sex?

the point is it's not suppose to wear off;
ever.
so saying you don't care about it one bit is lying.
if it wears off,
well what the hell are you still doing with him/her.

any type of movement quickly catches the eye, but may lose the initial attraction once it comes in focus.

Not saying I don't care about sex...I'm just not gonna turn someone down because I don't like the way they look.

A sense of humor.

There are a lot of physical qualities that I'm attracted to...but it's different all the time.

so yeah. Idk about the beautiful/handsome bit...but someone that makes me laugh will always get my attention.

I think that we "must" be attracted to a person physically to be attracted to them in the first place.. Anyone that says "looks don't matter" is not being honest about it. If someone approached them and had puss oozing from their face, I don't think they'd be attracted to them.. I could be wrong, maybe there is a person that can get over puss dripping on them when they're hugging, kissing, being intimate but I highly doubt it... I don't care how smart, funny, sweet, kind, etc a person is, if they're oozing puss it's highly unlikely that their great personality is going to overshadow the oozing puss... **Disclaimer "oozing puss" has been used as an extreme example**

I think what's meant in the "looks don't matter" statement is that they will be more attracted to a person b/c they have "other" attributes that in essence make that person more attractive...

I don't think I have a "specific" look that attracts me but there are features that I'm more attracted to.. From there it moves to personality, intelligence and sense of humor.. There are many, many other factors that will keep me attracted or turn me off from a person as well..

As far finding someone attractive forever, people grow old, it's part of life.. If you fall in love with them I don't think you notice the growing old part b/c you're growing old with them....

the thing is it's a certain je ne se quoi that catches your attention. later as you learn more about the person your initial attraction may fade. looks can be deceiving, and one would be wise not to judge a book by it's cover.

An ugly person to me is someone with no personality and who is completely shallow. A beautiful person is someone who is able to recognize a person with substance who will be able to go the distance and be attractive as well. That to me is worth more than gold.

A person could be the most beautiful being on earth (exaggeration) yet be a total a******, I would not be with them. Yet someone else could look like the Blob but have the most caring heart, that's who I would prefer.

i think of it this way;
when you find whoever the hell it is you want to spend your life with,
shouldn't you be able to say to them that you were awestruck when you first saw them.
