And not only Texans. A lady with whom I used to correspond,was often "fixin" things, usually connected with food. I could never cotton on to how it may have required fixing. I mean, how do you break food? She was equally adamant that she lived in Atlanta Georgia. How many Atlantas do you have in the USofA? When she went to Paris, it was Paris France, not to be confused with Paris Texas I suppose. However that is all by the by......

I'm not sure how many Atlanta's there are...several I would assume. Paris, Tx is a nice little town. I lived there one time.

The part that's not to understand is simple really. Americans have a way with English, that an English speaker finds somewhat alien. Perhaps, aliens have landed and started changing your original tongue to confuse perceieved enemies. It has me bluffed anyway
