Good Morning friends,
I thought of something this morning, I have quite a collection of books and attempted to have a yard sale and although I did sell a few most folks grumped about the price, all under $5!!!. Any suggestions for ridding myself of these books, don't really want to give them away you know, spent too much money on them. I have already made a donation to the library. Have a good day..

You are fortunate enough to have the extra money to spend on them. Donate them to a Women's Shelter. flowerforyou

Most books at a yard sale should go for about 50 cents a paperback. I know it's not near what you pay for them, but they move at that price and you do get a little coin in your pocket. I don't know what to charge for hard bound, but I don't think your $5 was unreasonable for those.

If you just want the space, Jules has a good idea or I've given some of mine to the local nursing home as well.

Have a full frontal labotomy and then read them again

You could always sell them through places like Amazon and Half.com.

I don't like seeing "too many" and "books" in the same sentence.

I will second you, Intelligence.

Eyes my 2100 books... No such thing as too many books.

Bee, Half-Price Books is pretty good about exchanging books for money. Otherwise a donation to womens shelters, libraries, etc and you can write it off for a bit more at tax time.

I agree. 'Too many books' is an oxymoron!

You could try taking them to a used book dealer and see if they'll buy them from you.
