Topic: Iran opens airspace to China warplanes | |

The Islamic Republic of Iran has reportedly opened its airspace to Chinese warplanes taking part in joint military maneuvers with Turkey.
Ankara and Beijing conducted the drills in Turkey's Central Anatolia region last month. The war games, codenamed the Anatolian Eagle, were the first involving Turkey and China. Turkey had previously carried out Anatolian Eagle maneuvers with the US and other NATO members as well as Israel. Turkish F-16, Chinese Su-27 and Mig-29 fighter jets took part in mock dogfights during the drills. The maneuvers come ahead of a planned visit by Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to Turkey. Turkey and China took their first step in military cooperation in the late 1990s with joint missile production, manufacturing weapons with a 150-kilometer range, the Hurriyet daily reported on its website. The multinational Anatolian Eagle exercise is hosted by the Turkish Air Forces and is aimed at boosting aerial cooperation and training. The exercises have been performed since June 2001. doesn't have a good sound to it, but it is probably nothing...maybe China is considering to trade with Iran. Senior China official calls for stronger Iran ties BEIJING A senior Chinese official has called for stronger trade and diplomatic ties with Iran, potentially bolstering criticism that Beijing is undercutting U.N. sanctions aimed at forcing Tehran to reveal more about its nuclear programs. Li Changchun told Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran that Beijing wants to "cooperate with Iran to seize the opportunities to consolidate and develop bilateral relations in various areas," Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reported Wednesday. China in recent years has ardently cultivated relations with Iran, seeking to secure energy supplies and investment opportunities for its roaring economy. Iran provides 11 percent of China's energy needs and bilateral trade reached at least $36.5 billion last year. Chinese companies have major investments in Iranian energy extraction projects and the construction of roads, bridges and power plants. http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9IHGK601.htm say goodbye to the war with Iran. Unless USA want's to pi$$ off the Chinese too. |

Hahahaha the Iranian press is also the mouthpiece which
declares the Holocaust didn't happen, blasts the US for these unreasonable sanctions, proclaims they have no interest in nuclear weapons, yet says they are invincible against military attack and, says the sanctions are a joke yet rails against the outrageous and onerous one-sided sanctions! Iran's victory is certain while the rest of the world cowers like rats, but these anti-Iran agents are like snakes... But it is a trap! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s27Oq5ot0ZI |
