I tell you I am floating around
You say you are floating too
I ask you dreamily if you want to share a cloud
You ask me
Is it fluffy?
Of course it is fluffy, all of my clouds are fluffy
Even my darkest ones
Can I shape it into a castle?
You may shape it into anything your heart desires
A castle, a horse, anything at all
Does it taste like Ice Cream??
It tastes of all the flavors of ice cream imaginable
Chocolate,vanilla, peppermint, pistachio
The list goes on and on for all time
You tell me you will sit on the edge and watch
The people scurry about below
I tell you I am laying down hanging my head over the edge
Watching the people and the way they move around
Can we fly to another cloud for a better view??
Of course we can, we can go as far as our imaginations desire
We can roam to whatever realm we desire
You ask if you dangle your feet over the edge
Will the air feel like water in a pond??
Just close your eyes and feel the little fish nibble at your toes
Feel the gentle caress of the water lilies on your ankles
I tell you that you are the first
The first adult to come with me on this cloud venture
That I am told I am a dreamer and to stop
To grow up, stop being such a child
I shyly reach for your hand
Whispering that I could think of no other I'd rather be on this cloud
with...
